thanks for the response...for the life of me i cannot figure out in the bios how to configure power back on after power loss ?

Thanks in advance

No problem mate. Its easy: go to Chipset Configuration

Restore on AC/Power Loss
Select the power state after a power failure. If [Power Off ] is selected, the power will
remain off when the power recovers. If [Power On] is selected, the system will start
to boot up when the power recovers.

Try booting without the 2 molex and sata power connectors being connected. I had the same probs as i first booted up but then it all went fine after a few restarts. Running great now with 8x290x and still expanding

It sounds like you got a bad board.

I just obtained this board the other day, and it has booted flawlessly each time I turn it on (more than I can say for the MSI boards I've tried), with 8 GPUs connected. It's literally "plug and play" (e.g. no need to enable 4G decoding).

Can you do a return/RMA?

Hi guys,

of course i decided to try a new motherboard. I have over 10 asus z270-a's running 8 GPU's without issue...and of course cannot get this one to just boot up properly.

First its slow to boot up. When i can get it to boot up it it will not boot up again unless i shut it off and disconnect the power source and thats not 100%every time. So i swapped 2 diffeerent PSU's and have tried 2 different new CPU's and nothing.

So i started to swap out the memory thinking thats it. The only way i can get it to boot up and again its not 100% all the time is by only have a 4gb stick in the second slot. I have tried several types of sticks and have also lowered the pc down to 1600 just in case and nothing.

I have connected the extra molex connectors to the board and have reset the bios as well.

I cannot figure out this freaking board !!!

Thanks in advance
