I would be careful of HashCoins Triton card ordering.  It is a pre-order and pre-orders a lot of times do not go well.

I would suggest looking at asics if you have to do scrypt look at ones currently out not pre-orders.

Do some ROI math chances are buying PSU and Motherboard will not ever pay off with GPU mining.

Thanks for your reply. My OP stated that I intended to mine only with the Triton (=ASIC mining), while reserving the GPUs for other tasks.

1) I understand what you are saying.  Yes it does look good on paper but there is a chance you order it and NEVER get your money back or get the product.  They mention Q1 2015 and they have no prototype Ive seen on this card, so it is not looking good.  There are a lot more options in BTC mining.  Scrypt most companies are not putting much R/D into it.  Just does not make business sense.

2) No there are some old USB sticks, but not PCI-e asics for scrypt (that I have seen).   A case just is not the perfect environment for a miner, it's why most GPU miners were doing open air rigs.   

I  hate to be the killjoy but I would look at a miner that has been shown to exist and is standalone.

I have two AMD 7550 GPUs laying around and I plan to buy a HashCoins Triton card. Would the Asus F2A85-V PRO motherboard be suitable for those 3 cards?

I understand the two AMD 7550 GPUs are pretty obsolete for scrypt mining, so I would leave the heavy lifting to the Triton and use the GPUs for other tasks, like the occasional password cracking with oclHashcat.

Also, regarding the PSU, the Triton is specced at 144W and the notice of the GPUs says you need a 400W PSU, but I'm not sure if it means the GPU would actually use the whole 400W. Would a 800W PSU be enough, or do I need to look at higher wattage, like 1200-1300W?
