The S5's use Bitmain's own BM1384 chips.  All bitmain miners use their own proprietary chips, making it difficult to out-source.  On top of that, from what I gather the cost of developing and producing the chips makes up upwards of 80% of the total cost of miners, and if Bitmain is going to sell their chips, I imagine they're going to sell them for a premium (since they sell their miners for a premium, it would only make sense). Also, because the chips themselves make up so much of the cost of the miner, even if you were able to buy them (for more than it costs them), and you were able to get the PCB's, heat sinks and fans for a lower cost, you quite likely will still end up more expensive than what it costs to purchase from them direct due to the cost of chips.  Unfortunately, competitive manufacturing of miners is not really a middle man kind of sport these days, it's go big or go home (as can be shown by the bankruptcy or amalgamation of most   Please feel free to investigate, I would certainly love to be proven wrong!

Well,
As i explained above i have free electricity, so it doesn't mean i am stealing from someone or from the electricity grid or anything like that, all i have is legal electricity, And by the way i have already bought Antminer S5 10 of them and running 24/7 and happy with the result. Does anyone know what chips does the Antminer use in the Antminer S5 ? I am planning to go China personally and ask some experts companies to create a cheaper or low cost Asic Machines... Any help please ?

uhh, there is nothing like "free electricity". if you are not paying for it, there are few possible scenarios:

you connected yourself illegally to some grid
you had some rented space and owner told you "electricity included", so you think that it is for free
you are working for some electricity provider and you want to steal electricity
you had your own solar/water grid.

you know, electricity is commodity, like bananas or barrels of petrol - it is not free. you should consider twice before jumping to mining ops how much is your electricity free and what may happen..

So if electricity is included in your rent, and It would be the same cost monthly whether you used zero or 30,000 kW-h, how much does that electricity cost you?  I realize the ethical dilemma with stealing electricity which many people pass off as "free", but what is so wrong with leveraging an opportunity that was legally agreed on and signed?

I think in many cases it's more of an education process rather than berating somebodies ethics. We've seen more than once an inquiry about Bitcoin mining with "free electricity". The poster may think it's free because they don't explicitly pay for it (e.g. dorm room, apartment, etc). This would even probably be fine if they were talking about running 3 USB sticks. It all becomes way different when somebody thinks "I'll just run 3 S5's and make some good money". They don't realize it's like turning on a hot plate or heater and leaving it on 24 hours per day. Virtually every situation where the electricity is included, there are also some non-obvious clauses on acceptable use. Even in commercial rentals, it's possible to run afoul of the landlord's feelings regarding a Bitcoin mining operation.

I completely agree that if you have a legitimate agreement that provides for "no additional cost" electricity, then all is good. You'll still likely find that there are limits on how much you can use, either contractually or infrastructure limited. Sometimes this education isn't always done so gently, but it still needs to happen.

I have a feeling with how OP say's he is buying 50 he might be the banned "Tochachista".  That account spammed questions and thread hijacked.  But one of his big things was always talking about buying 50 S5's.   He was banned on another account for ban evasion.

I hope I am wrong on this, and I very well could be.  But after rereading it the 50 part just is a little close.

I don't know who you are talking about? by the way I am asking for suggestions not for spamming.

About electricity I got my hand on free electricity of 30000 wats while wiring is good enough and about the noise it's not an issue as no one use to sleep around that roo.  plus there's quite a great cooling environment by aircondioner.

While the English is better than "Tochachista", some of the themes and such are very similar. Maybe it's legit. Either way, fifty S5's is plenty of power, plenty of heat, and plenty of noise. Is it still possible to buy fifty S5's from Bitmain? I've lost track of the "Batch numbers" from them, but I thought by now they expected to be "sold out" (i.e. the last batch was spoken for).

Of course there's nothing that would prevent Bitmain from altering course and making another batch or two given the current state of affairs. Unless of course they have decided to just throw in the towel when they saw the "BitFury light bulb".  Smiley

Batch 5 is still open on S5's.  So hard to tell how long it will be going. Honestly I expect to see a batch with a price drop before we see any new gear.  I have not seen that S5 batch yet, so it's good for existing miners in my view.

And I could be wrong, it's just very few new people ask about buying 50.   Honestly I hope I'm wrong and it's not him once again.

For the foreseeable short-term future stick with 0-2% difficulty increases.

Find the bottleneck for your project (I.E. is it funding or electricity?)

For example if you only have 3,000 W of "free" electricity use, you will make more in the long run with 5x S5's than you will with 8x S3's.  ROI might take longer (net income after ROI would be dead even in January) but there will be more long-term income, as well as more residual value in the more current model than there will in an older model.

If you have limited funds to invest with, go for the cheapest $/GHs you can find, so long as it does not max out your power situation.

Everybody's assumptions on market conditions, tolerance for risk, and timeframe for ROI will be different, and that's why everyone needs to decide for themselves what the best plan is.

Thanks guys for the replies,i have just purchased one S5 to check the earning ratio, if it's fine then i will move ahead with some how about 50 s5.

You won't be able to jump with 50.  It is a massive undertaking to do 50.

Most likely you will only be able to do a few, unless you do some wiring.

Humble of Thanks in advance for co-operative suggestion.

roi is pretty simple to estimate, at current diff you get 0.011 per day, so about six months for it, if the price won't rise too much and thus the diff won't change either, then it should be possible to earn something out from this, but it still remain a guessing game

in the worst case you could mine for 3 months and resell everything for 400 or around that, i think this is a better strategy than waiting for a straight roi, and it increases the chances of you earning actually something from it
