you will never be able to install windows as uefi in your thumb drive
even if you find a solution to install windows
it will install as legacy

Are you sure? Did you try and fail?

Hi Everyone,

Long time lurcher first time question asker. I am having a hard time getting Windows 10 to install on a thumb drive on my mining rig.

I have a TB250 Pro (updated bios), and a USB 3.0 Drive plugged in along with mouse and keyboard.

I get about 4 clicks into the windows installation where it says "Select which drive you want to install to" and it can't recognize my flash drive(s) I've tried multiples, nothing seems to work.

Anyone ever had this issue?

and legacy installation has a lot of problems running software related to mining
will recommend to buy an internal drive and install windows in it
or try linux os

Use WinToUSB to install directly the OS to USB flash

Are you trying to install Windows from the USB stick to a hard drive?  Or are you trying to actually install Windows on a USB thumb drive?

If you have the Windows 10 ISO on your USB stick and are trying to install it to hard drive, you are probably never going to get it to work.  I ran into the same issue.  I found a lot of 'fixes' that didn't work.  I wound up having to install from an actual disk to get it to finally install.

Anyway make sure you aren't sticking the USB stick into a blue USB port.  That's USB 3 and may need additional drivers.

No Offense bro, Are you sure you want to do mining? co'z you can't get to work a simple OS installation, much more you will have to face an even more complex problem ahead.

back to your prob, try to rebuild your Bootable USB OS installer, or use DVD drive, burn the installer to DISC
