Hi guys!
I downloaded the Radeon Software driver Crimson ReLive Edition Beta for [Suspicious link removed]pute Driver and got 29 mhs on my Sapphire rx 580 8Gb.
You can download it from here: http://support.amd.com/en-us/kb-articles/Pages/Radeon-Software-Crimson-ReLive-Edition-Beta-for-[Suspicious link removed]pute-Release-Notes.aspx
Previously, I had to change the bios timing settings for such performance

Hey!

I've used to have some RX 580 8gb MSI Armor Oc's laying around.

I've modded them(Bios, and overclocked) happened to get 32mh/s on ethereum with both cards no problem, settings were :

mv -96
core clock - 1240
memory clock - 2250
fan speed - 50(Can be adjusted depending on airflow and temps)

If you need help with anything let me know in my discord, I reply there faster. Smiley

Also I got the modded bios by putting in a new timing for 1:1750 and copying it to 1:2000 in the bios.

These cards underclock like a beast! I happened to get 25Mh/s for 72watt's per card(Pretty great imo when building multiple rigs in bulk)

Seems like the reason your having issues is due to overclock, and possibly a bad mod? Or just a not optimized OS, as claymore won't stay open if you have power saving features enabled, or a bad overclock. Make sure you're using these rigs for anything other than mining, and don't have bloatware on them.

Hello again!
What tools do I need to mod the bios?
Sorry totally not familiar with the process and dont want to fry the card Smiley
Thank you!

Thank you for advice! I am running Windows 10 Pro, but was thinking about running ETHOS - even bought the SSD version.
What OS are you using?
Thanks again!

Hello!
I am currently running Monero mining rig with 6 MSI RX 580 Gaming 8GB GPUs, Samsung memory, getting about 4500 hashes.
Rig is running quiet, 60C-73C with low fan use. Overclocked memory to 2250 with Afterburner.
Problem is stability - sometimes it runs 24-30 hours at a time, sometimes it crashes after an hour.
Claymore is in startup so most of the time it just goes right back to mining, but sometimes it hangs up.
Running latest Catalyst drivers because I was told Rx580s do not like old drivers. Could this be part of the problem?
Motherboard ASRock H81 PRO BTC R2.0, 8GB actual RAM, Virtual set to 16GB but that didnt change stability at all.
Also tried running Claymore dual ETH/SIA miner and the fans howled and rig went down after about 10 minutes, so I went back to Monero.

1. Can someone recommend how to tweak the cards without breaking them to get more hashes and less power, or at least more hashes and stability?
I heard people sell card firmware thats fine tuned for optimum performance.
2. Can this setup be used to dual mine ETH/SIA without frying the GPUS - if so, what settings should I use or again is there firmware that can be changed?

Thank you in advance!
MM
