I transferred KNCL from Coinbase to Kucoin after reading this article (
https://www.kucoin.com/news/en-kucoin-will-support-the-knc-token-migration). When I saw the part that said, “We strongly suggest you deposit your KNC tokens into KuCoin as we will swap the token for you automatically, “ I interpreted that as Kucoin swapping my old KNCL for the new KNC and depositing it to my Kucoin KNC Wallet. Apparently I needed to deposit the old KNCL into Kucoin before a certain date, which was not mentioned in the article.
Anyway… Kucoin, in a support ticket, said they will assist with the return of the funds for $30USDT, but they will only return to the Sending Address. From what I understand Coinbase provides unique KNCL Deposit addresses, but uses the same address for all KNCL holders to Send.
I have tickets opened with both exchanges.
Kucoin says, “We could only send it back to address 0xddfabcdc4d8ffc6d5beaf154f18b778f892a0740 (Coinbase Input Wallet address), where we received your deposit from. You need to contact that platform to credit it for you.”
Coinbase says, " funds erroneously sent to an input address may not be retrievable so please request to send your funds back to your Coinbase account's KNC receiving address."
Here’s the Ethernet Record:

Coinbase has been the most responsive, but mainly with boiler template responses. I’m leaning towards somehow providing Coinbase with a way to verify the KNCL being sent back from KuCoin to their big ole wallet and crediting my account. But I’m not sure how to go about it or if it’s even feasible.
Any advice you can provide is greatly appreciated.
