Your profit can't be enough for you to buy a new laptop, which you'll need soon

Which is unlikely for laptops

Yeah, at least OP just risking the fan while comparing to doing mining  Cheesy. Moreover, OP has stopped interest in mining, since getting another offer (Stacking)  Cry

How do I get proof of stake coins? I am newbie- I dont know much about proof of stake sorry?

You could install the official wallet of the coins that you want to do Proof of Stake. Then buy some amount of coins as much as required for stacking. Stay turn on your wallet (don't let the wallet turning off  Grin).

imagine a portable PC running 24/7/365

you can mine ETN, Bytecoin, Monero and another coins as long as can be mined with a laptop but be careful with a laptop conditions being or after Mining.

Just an advice from someone that tried mining with a laptop for experience purposes. It’s unworthy and just a waste of time, unpaid effort then possibility of worse scenario a burning laptop. Consider this as a suggestion that can be ignore or just a warning that you don’t want to regret all day.

Buy hardware or mining rigs is the best and absolutely the right thing to do.

You don't even have a GPU. You will mine enough to pay for the damage overheating will do to your laptop in around 500 years with free electricity

Buy some proof of stake coins that have node software for windows and just stake

As the others said above: You will only damage your laptop and got nothing.

The other thing you should know:
Yes, you can mine using your laptop just for few hours only, but while you on pooled mining that was a bad idea when you have less stay time in the pool. You wouldn't have a full share to the pool (at least for a few pools related to their payment schemes), and that's not worth it.

Better to build a Mining Rig and use your Laptop to control the rig.
Too much heat for a laptop.

Anyway this was discussed ofter. Use the search button pls.

come on Bud,
already many questions the same about laptops whether can be mining actually can be used to mining as long as coins it can be mined with CPU.

but should understand the architecture of laptops is too risky to used mining because the fan too small can't reduce the heat and the hash rate generated too small also should compete with GPU miner.

People aren’t against mining on a laptop for the power usage, it’s because of overheating.  Laptops aren’t designed for continuous CPU/memory usage and therefore don’t have the cooling needed for 24/7 mining.

But, if you want to try it, I’d suggest downloading the Minergate software, running the benchmarks, and letting it pick the best coin to mine. A lot of people started out with https://minergate.com before getting serious.

I actually did do minergate myself; not just pc but via my android too...its crazy though- their fees are too high! Any other suggestions? To be honest, I dont even use my laptop much and I only intend to make use of the limited amount of time that I spend on it...So basically no intention here to mine 24/7... I use my laptop for highschool too so I need it to run for at least 2 years (minimum)...
So any other ideas or comments?

In my opinion, mining using a laptop can be dangerous.
Components in laptops arranging meetings are very different from each other to fill the space in order to be mobile.
While mining activities, both using the CPU and GPU demanding work of the right components, this causes heat and a bad system is good, both air conditioning or water cooling, while on laptops, heatsink which is a less good pleasure.
The components mentioned inside the laptop are the energy inside, plus the heat that generates the CPU / GPU from the mining process that can be profitable for a laptop.
. Components that can ...... Hard drives that work can produce heat, but also very hot because of air circulation and because the mining process can lead to reduced hard drive time.
Then SSD, this component is very sensitive if it is too hot, do not mine kalo laptop agan there SSD him.
In addition to dangerous, mine with a laptop is also minimal results, because the CPU / GPU will not be able to work optimally without air circulation.
That is my opinion.
