This is new to me but i found something that might help you to understand.

Here's the link: https://www.reddit.com/r/BitcoinMarkets/comments/48l3hy/question_about_bitmex_fees/

They have been all arguing about of the high fees on BitMex. To be honest i've never used this exchange to trade bitcoin before but i could only guess. Maybe it's the network fees that's why they have to make the high fees or maybe there is already a network fees but they take another extra bucks for their own.

Dear all

I would like to understand the BitMex trading fees.

Lets say I open a position of $500 with 10x leverage with available balance of $50 worth of XBT.

I open and close the trade at market price. According to their website, the maker fee is minus -0.0250%.

Does it mean I will pay no fee at all on borrowing $450 worth of XBT? or am I missing something here?

Many thanks in advance!
