I usually have to wait until February until my W2's come in.

It is illegal for employers to mail W2's after January 31.

which is why they mail them the 31st, and it takes days until it arrives, thus being February.

i live in bedford, texas, about twenty minutes from the DFW airport, where my UPS job is. i'm currently carpooling to that while i save to get my own ride. my credit is good enough to get financing, but i need the down payment and my current job wouldn't afford the monthly either. after the holidays i'll be making under 200 a week. even though i'm not paying rent, a car payment + gas and insurance would be just about 100 bucks to expensive. so i'm saving to buy a cheapo "eh, it drives..." until i find better work.

i grew up in los angeles. a long commute wouldn't bother me at all, and given my living situation, i'd just get an apartment or such closer to the job pretty quickly anyway. lets hear the ideas!

I'm curious to learn what happened to the job and the excellent credit rating.

woah, i said "good enough to get financing." BIG difference from "excellent." my credit was worse than it is now, but it's still poor, under 600. the UPS job ended due to back trouble. i just couldn't do it anymore. for the next year and a half or... heck, almost 2 i think, i lived with my fiance and her folks in mckinney. from there i got a job at AIM Your Way in Allen, doing quality control. they do property maintenance for empty homes. contractors go out ,do work, take pictures to prove it. i looked over the pictures to be sure it was right and such. that ended inthe layoff in december, as they lost a contract. i was one of 18, which was over 20% of the employees. small company.

while working there, my fiance and i got married and moved to our own apartment in September. now, while we finish studying and getting our insurance agent licenses so we can sell AFLAC (a friend of ours is a manager of a district and has roped us in) we're ...well, trying to survive. if i can gett over the hurdle of january and febuary rent and the like, we'll make it, i think.

probably going to have to talk to her father about a loan at this stage. i hate to rely on others like that, but sometimes (or all to frequently, it seems) we don't get to choose. hopefully AFLAC will prove as successful for us as it has our friend. would be nice to not be broke for once.

oh, and i ended up finding a decent car that i sold a couple months ago, as i'm using my father in law's old truck now.

so i got laid off on December 9th. good times, lemme tell ya. unemployment won't kick in until next week, and i'm late rent. i've got a week to get 800 bucks, in short.

which my tax refund should cover three times over! yay!

but i can't GET it in the next week. BOO!

any ideas?

all i have is my final paystub. no w-2, i'd only worked for the job from feb of 2015 to december 9.

not asking for a loan or anything (i still owe marcotheminer a few coins...) like that, but ideas to get my tax refund early, or a loan on that.

any ideas?

yea. i remember all that, just didn't make the mental connection that trendon was his real name. that and, as you can see by my posting activity, my head hasn't really been in the bitcoin space much for a while now.

Get Paid Crypto To Walk or Drive
At my local walmart, there was a sign from Jackson Hewitt Tax Services that they would advance you the refund money with a no interest loan (but you will pay to have them prep the return then), not sure if they would do this with just the final pay stub or not.

You can always file your taxes online and you don't need the W-2, but again, if the information ends up being slightly different you will have to amend later (which really isn't that big of a deal, you may just owe some back).

Also, it will probably take longer than 2 weeks to get your refund.

i've seen a similar sign at my walmart. i'll talk to them next time i'm there.

I believe it said something about needing a W-2, but maybe they will take the final pay stub.  You can also call your previous employer and see if yours is done yet.  Then they can either email it to you or you can go in and pick it up.

The origin of "brave" evolved from "savage".
Some places will give you an advance loan without a W-2 if you agree to have them file your taxes for you.  I personally advise against this course of action, but to each his own.

You can file your taxes based on your last paystub but i would'nt advise it. Sometimes the last paystub doesn't match the W-2 information and then you would have to file an amended return in the future.

Just wait the extra week or so....it's not worth the Bullshit with those thieves at the I.R.S.

that's what i was afraid of... ugh.
