What i did was i powerd off everything and the miner was hot like it had overheated waited for it to cooldown and then powerd on the whole thing.
i meen the hashboards where running for about 30 sec whitout the controlboard powerd on and the whole thing like went into overheat mode.. smoke every where you could smell the burned plastic for days. I gusess if i let it runn for like 1 min or more there could prop. be a fire , Whats more intressting is that the PSU was running while the miner was frying itself or what ever, but something was def. Mellting inside it..  i will open up the miner later today and post some pictuers of its hashbords and the miner so you guys can also take a look  maybe , someone have a clue what to do nexst or how to fix this. ? would app. It

Board 1 and 2 was OK and hashing. But board 3 is showing temp 0 and --- --- sometimes 000 000...

I may be interested in your dead board shipped to France. Can you send me a picture of the board?

You know that supprised me 2 this is batch 8 . I conected the cabels from the psu to all 3 boards but not the control board. Then i had to take a leak, came back then i saw smoke from the miner... after i reconected everything i saw that the 3 hashbaord shows temp 0 and --- --- . No clue why. Btw i live in Norway.

So what you are saying is that the Hash Boards were connected, Controller not, you then left ift for a couple of minutes and there was smoke coming from the miner?

What did you do then? Connect the Controller or power everything down and start again?

It had been reported in another thread that with B8 without the Controller connected that this results in a v low core voltage?

I noticed that without the controller plugged, the voltage output at the coil was closer to 8v, can't remember exact value.
And, it went higher to 10.2 with the control board plugged

However there may be a difference between a Controller not powered & a controller not plugged in? We don't at the moment fully understand the exact workings of batch 8 with the Microprocessor controlled Buck Controller so in the meantime care is needed.

Reason for this is i let the miner and psu run for maybe 1 minute whit psu cabels connected to the hashboards , before i conected the power cable to the controboard on the miner. then came smoke out of the miner....  One board i think is dead/fried and the 2 others are running prefectly fine. Maybe there is a fix to this.?

I am a bit surprised that running with hash boards powered & controller not would fry one of the Hash Boards? Which batch was this and how had you been "connecting" the power cable to the Controller Board?
