Thanks for this, I'm definitely going to touch briefly on some other cryptocurrencies. It's just that the editor I pitched the story to seemed to like the idea of presenting a specific alternative to Bitcoin.
You should 'enlight' the editor with some links. It will make you look like a better writer if you show him/her that there are many alternatives in the alt coin market. But I also understand that sometimes you have to follow the orders you're given.
