So this is whats happening, when someone (myself) makes a youtube link with a specified start time
"Copy link at current time" thing, only some of them (halfish) work, regardless of browser
I don't know what the difference is between the ones that work and the ones that don't, but the problem is that they don't work most of the time, I'll click on the timestamped link, and IE will start loading the timestamped link, but then changes it to the basic video link and takes me to it (FF just takes me to the video without showing the link being shortend)
WHY?
If you post the successful answer to why this is happening and how to resolve it (Aka, a "reset to default settings to make it work" does not count)
Then you win the small bounty of .005btc
I'm looking for an answer along the lines of "in the IE advanced settings, you've got X ticked which is messing it up, untick that and it works now"
If it's the Do Not Track factor that is causing this to fail, then there is no bounty to claim, as I am not turning off Do Not Track
The weirdest part about this, is that some work, and some don't. Do some videos disallow timestamp links?
Heres one that works when I click on it:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c0kk4X72H4w#t=29m08sAnd one that doesn't:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GjG1YrivY6o#t=395WHY and how do I resolve it? If you can answer both of these, without the answer being the Do Not Track, then you win the .005btc bounty
If you post the correct answer of why this is happening without a resolution, such as "Youtube video makers can disable timestamp hyperlinks" then you earn half the bounty.
The bounty is so small because I'm not a wealthy person and I see it as incentive for a nice person to be nice, not a way to pay a lazy person to do work
And before you tell me "don't use IE" I use it because it has the cleanest, and easiest on the eye webformatting
Websites just look Fucked Up in firefox, and it keeps re-sharpening and altering text repeatedly, always coming out with a bad result
