I've been arbing for a couple months now and it has been quite successful.  Problem is sending the money around the globe via wires.
If only we didn't need banks permission to send our money where we want it to go Sad

Its all talk. People claiming they are arbing and making money. What are we talking here?
I'm doing between 5% and 50% per day, however because of the bank and their rules everything has come to a halt until the issues get resolved.  Apparently sending thousands of dollars a week internationally is not allowed by an individual.
I think the "secret" is live in a small country that has a brand new exchange(s) and get in early.  I've already said too much here now.
Peace.

I see this post all reply, but i don't  the Negative Balance exist or not on mtgox.com & bitstamp & lakebtc.com?

Negative balances are because of glitches in the blockchain.info reports.
It happened before and it will happen again unless they fix that but nothing to be alarmed of.

It happens , by searching through the forum I found this one :
https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.2359543

Looks like a random link with nothing about arbing - what am I missing here?

Yeah , you're missing the thread title.
And the thread title was about negative balance in the blockchain , not about arbitrage Smiley

So true - just we had been talking abour arbing for so long I had forgotten the original purpose of the thread - lesson learned

Nothing impossible ... i've seen this before too on mtgox.com & bitstamp ...  but not on lakebtc.com so far.

There you go, mentioning that site again. Care to share what it is?

just another exchange ... not super fast but at least can get my $$$ out. good for arb i guess ..  Grin

You don't own it do you? Nothing wrong with that, just I've never heard of it before and you are the only person mentioning it  Wink

i wish ... buy & hold is risky .. arb is way to go. hard to find price mismatche these days.  gotta know what's out there dude  Wink

I love people that tease about arbing ............ and then have nothing to back it up. "Its my secret" etc. Just don't buy it. At the very least its extremely risky because of times taken to deposit / withdraw money. If you are making tonnes of money arbing then all power to you. But it won't last long if indeed you are doing it at all.

true withdraw is a risk .. that's why mtgox etc suck big time and go find reliable places to buy and sell. when prices move, they are never in sync so arb oppo is always there ...

I'm just guessing here, but transactions can be delayed or appear out of sequence on Blockchain.  With that many transactions, maybe some of them haven't appeared yet.
