Catapult Announcement from NEM.io Foundation President Lon Wong
Dear NEM Community,
Today we are proud to announce the launch of Phase 1 of Catapult (also called mijin v.2), the long awaited product update to the NEM Smart Asset blockchain. Catapult is more than just an improvement to the NEM blockchain. It is an industry milestone that opens up new capabilities for blockchain database functionality. Partners, customers and select community developers can now apply to participate in the early access program for Catapult.
There are three phases to the Catapult beta program:
Phase 1: Catapult Developer Preview and SDK release
Phase 2: Evaluation release of Catapult Core Engine
Phase 3: Dual-licensing of Catapult in both Open Source and Commercial licenses
NEM’s out-of-the-box blockchain technology accelerates enterprise solutions to serve the needs of the biggest technology businesses in the world, putting us a class above other enterprise blockchains.
NEM’s blockchain technology delivers a world class platform for management of almost any kind of asset: currencies, supply chains, notarizations, ownership records and more.
NEM’s Smart Asset system allows anyone to completely customize how they use the NEM blockchain, with a robust set of features including built-in smart contracts, the all new multi-level multisig control, aggregated transactions, and a four-tiered architecture that provides developers a secure, open and self-scaling platform.
