Though NEO is a very good altcoin and it has almost similar potentials and technologies like that of ethereum but I do not think it is a right decision for you to buy it with half of your capital but rather invest with your spare money.

I think Neo is the Chinese Etherium. And as we all know, the Chinese are very good at forging and even surpassing competitors. I bought NEO and intend to get it off. If Neo is a clever contract, he can become a competitor to Ethereum.

You can invest on Neo then hold in long term, though I know its really a potential altcoin. But never put all your capital on it, like what I read here in the forum never put all your eggs in one basket.

NO. YOU decide. It's very important to make your own decision, especially when you're on the internet. People tend to advise you a particular coin which is likely held by them (in the hopes it goes up more of course and they net more money). If you feel like you've done enough research and you like the project and where they're headed then why not? Otherwise get googling buddy.
Im pretty sure you are aware of the risk involved when investing thus its all up to you. However aside from the opinions here its also advisable to do your own research and do the judgement afterwards.
Regarding neo, I recently added it in my portfolio about 10% of my budget because I believe it has a good future. The team behind it are working hard continuously to improve the technology. However it is centralized thats why btc is still in my top investment.

NEO Team is strongly increasing it's performance atm, also twitter indicates that this coin could go up. Extremely bullish on them, may more then ETH. 
I think its a good decision. NEO is a good platform and even better than ETH. Its price had already reached more than $120 while the project is just new. There are already tokens using the NEO platform like REDPULSE and some that hasn't made something big in the cryptop news sites. NEO is going to be huge soon and some of the people here seen its future as the Chinese ETH.
NEO is a really good blockchan platform but I sold all my NEO yesterday to go into POPULOUS with more funds because that will give me a higher return on my investment n the short to medium term and I can always get back my stake in NEO with the earnings from POPULOUS. Now the markets are bearish I am looking for winners that will not depreciate much in value at this time and that will also earn me a decent roi. I was not earning much gas from NEO and I had 62 NEO so for me the roi wasn't worth keeping it against POPULOUS which will give me higher returns, which I can use to buy back some NEO to leverage and diversify again.

NEO has some nice features and it's a good investment. Always buy
when it is low. You might want to hold it for a long time. You'll
lose if you sell it so gather a lot of patience for this. If you
don't need your money at the moment, don't worry. The price will
soon go back and may get higher than you expect. It is also a
good idea to spread your money to the other coins as part of your
investment if you like.

Neo is a good coin to invest, especially for long term, but the one that concern me is the place where the coin created, previously when China banning ICO, the price of the NEO drop 50%, if the china government not making any controversial rules then neo definitely a good coin to hold, but for me its too risky

Don't base your opinion around what some random people tell you over the internet! This is very risky to listen all of them, because their opinions could be easily made if they have invested in NEO, if they have they might tell you to buy it and other way around. Try to draw your own conclusions, but bearing in mind that NEO has risen exponetially last year tells you something at least.
NEO should be investment for long term and not used just to flip some money fast in my opinion.

Hm, I think you want to say you wanna invest into NEO with half of your capital. That's really risky when you put so much capital into crypto currency because they are really uncertain markets. NEO is good coin for long term inevstment and no doubt about it after looking at the project development since last year. It has gone wild in the market cap as compared to the last year's market valuation. So it's good sign and can be best inevstment for future. How ever one thing is clear that, we must not overwhelm about it and do the emotional investment. The capital is always subject to risk so just put whatever you can afford to loose.
The whole problem is that NEO is a purely Chinese coin. And now in China, the best times for the crypto currency have come. It's just my opinion and I'll just watch him.
In spite of the Chinese Regulation crackdown NEO is doing well right now, and a good thing that it is is premined and not a currency, I can assume that a lot of people and companies will buy it whey they realize the value of it and Gas divided, but would still stick to bitcoin. I'll go and watch this coin but would never interested with this kind of currency. I think if you invest half the capital, it's too much. Invest a maximum of 30%. And it seems to me a perspective currency and I think it will grow a lot in a short time. It may have a history of growth, like etherum. But considering the neo of the Chinese, I would not invest more than 30% of my budget and I will not do it ... The Chinese are strange and their interests.

If someone gets into an argument with their wife and wants to feel strong and powerful... they simply tell the media they're thinking about banning ICO's. Boom... huge decline.
Chinees will not ban their won products for sure. They always want to use their won products instead of using the USA and European products. They don't use facebook and WhatsApp but they have their own alternative for these things similarly they may stop using ETH for the ICO's but in the long run, they may prefer to use NEO so it will be a big boost to NEO. I suggest better to invest some money but don't put 50% in one product.
The point is NEO has proven over time that it is a worthwhile portfolio for investment,right from when the ban in china caused its prices to slump till now.I have no doubt that it will be a hot cake this year especially given some of the problems ethereum encounters during on peak usage days.So this is worth your dime

Trouble with ETH is just like BTC and it will not scale which any two bid software developer knew from day one.
I know nothing much about playing markets (I ADMIT IT) but ETH i think is a good investment because it
earns "gas" by hosting other alt-coins but really us tech freaks need a replacement and NEO will receive
my attention because it has cropped up several time now on my radar.

It's the big worry with NEO, it's kind of like a play thing for China, they will protect it and it can benefit from that but if they decide they are tired with it then NEO is one of the crypto's they can destroy. They can greatly harm the others but they can kill NEO.

I think you made a Great choice investing on NEO , the question that I'm just asking is why is NEO is the only crypto that didn't fall down as almost all the cryptos ranked on the top 100 of the market . Did some one have the explanation of this phenomenal resistance of NEO against the last TSONAMI .
Investing half of your captial on NEO is definitely risky in my opinion. If I were to invest half of my capital, it would only be on bitcoin.
