Yep correct mate, GAS is collected as you normally would through the NEON wallet. Only difference is you have to confirm it on the ledger.

Quite a few - Btc, Bcc, Ethereum, Ltc, Vtc, Ark, Neo, Dash, Ripple, Ethereum Classic, ViaCoin, PIVX, POSW, Zcash, Doge, All ERC-20 tokens and probably a few more (memory has run dry).

But Monero in the next month or so as well!

Also next NEON wallet update will allow the ledger to hold any NEO based tokens on there.

Yep, receive it like you would usually in the NEON wallet, you just need to do 2 confirmations on the ledger.

Neo deserves it. Easy to use, chain fast. Only little is currently supported for ICO.

Ledger is starting to pull away from Trezor even more. I might have to pick one up to store the coins that the Trezor can't.

I see Neo is now on ledger Nano , does anyone have an idea on how the GAS is treated, will ledger also give you GAS for storing your NEO?

This is done via the neon wallet though right.

Does the nano seed words also restore your MEW and NEON wallets as well?

Can All ERC-20 tokens be on ledger nano S? Also for ICO tokens, can they also be on the ledger nano S as well?

NEON wallet has issues with showing zero balance.  I don't think it's a Nano S issue.

So which coins can the Ledger Nano S now hold?

Yep I tried it right after setting up the Nano for NEO.  Works great.  Wish I had bought more NEO @ $26.

Has anyone successfully received GAS for staking their NEO on the Ledger s?

I don't think it will have much effect on the price.

I still expect NEO to skyrocket sometime in the future though I could easily be wrong.

Anyone think if this will result to a substantial gain for NEOs value?

Don't forget Expanse (EXP) and all the upcoming Token (through Tokenlab) on their Blockchain.

If they allow neo to accumulate gas in ledger, that would be just crazy, in a good sense.

Ledger added a lot of coins in the last months (Ark, Komodo, Vertcoin, Viacoin, PivX, ...) and they are working on Monero and Decred, much more than Trezor or other Hardware Wallets. Addionionaly you can store and access every Ethereum-based Token with Myetherwallet, and there are a lot in the Cryptospace.

I have only used BTC and ETH on my Nano S.  How many apps can you install on it before you run out of memory?

I will probably pick up some NEO finally once the Nano can be used to secure it.

This is what I wanted to ask as well, Do you automatically get the GAS as a separate wallet within ledger nano or do you not get the GAS?

I still have a couple of Neo's and I was planning to buy that Nano S. So this news fits me like a glove.

At the moment I found the Nano S sold out in the Netherlands though.

The restricted memory size is indeed annoying as you have to uninstall one wallet app to make room for another. I hope a future revision deals with this. Apart from that, I really like the Nano S, and now even more as it will support NEO.

May anyone please explain me, how the wallet works? If I unlock my Nano S and choose the Neo-Wallet it shown "Wake up, Neo". But how can I get a wallet adress? How can I send and receive Neo? Which program do I have to start at my PC?

Well, on one hand I kinda liked my icon, but on the other hand it did kinda look like a programmer made it.

Neon Wallet getting closer.

The neon-wallet team is getting closer to accepting my PR into the dev branch. There was a lot of changes, and several code style changes that needed to be incorporated. Plus we want to be able to support other hardware wallets in the future, so we had to redesign parts of the code to allow that.

The code works, the tests work, but there was some pretty brutal copy pasting on my part, so we're fixing that.
Ledger Blue Support

My wife finally agreed that I could get a Ledger Blue, so the next hardware wallet I'll be supporting is the Ledger Blue.

I've been told that the Ledger Blue is similar technically to the Ledger Nano, so it shouldn't take too long to code the update. That being said, it may take a while for it to get shipped to me. First set comes late October so they say, and I only ordered it on the 16th ;/

I'm very excited about this also, since it will give me much more peace of mind to be able to stake GAS through the ledger interfacing through Neon. Keep in mind this can't be done immediately. The Neon update to interface with the ledger hasn't been released yet, but I guess it will within the next month. No official dates have been announced to my knowledge.

Good news for everyone. Finally, I can have all my investments on one hardware wallet.

Just wait for the official release, there will be instructions on what platform you will need to use to interface with the ledger (Neon wallet I'd assume).

Basically, Ledger will have an official app on the Nano S to 'approve' (sign) your transactions in the Neon wallet.

Considering an independent dev put himself forward to make the Neo / Ledger integration happen, it might take a little while! Not sure how much Trezor charge for integration themselves.

I think it is great that Ledger keeps adding new coins. Does anyone know how they decide to add new coins?

The dev for the Neo App said the code is currently in review by ledger themselves.
Also he’s going to give an official update on Monday at 10pm (central USA time).

This is fantastic news ... with all the recent coins ledger wallet is supporting recently I really need to get an order in for one. Store those coins securely =) Is it recommended to buy one from ebay, or is it just best to get it from ledgerwallet directly?

There's firmware updates like the one needed for BCH support.
You didn't need to buy a new Nano S once they added BCH, you simply made sure you're on the right firmware version and installed the BCH app.
Same goes for newly added altcoins, since the chips are the exactly same in every batch.

It's all pretty straight-forward once you have a Nano S in hand and get to try it yourself.

Waiting for NEO's price to reach $30. I am getting impatient as its price is still down to $20's rate. I've already bought additional coins yesterday so hope the price pumps to a better rate this month.

The turn of events is probably because of the issue of NEO in China regading ICO's.

I believe it is community development. I am more into Trezor and you first need to create firmware, pair it with trezor wallet, maybe with other wallets aswell and than you can commit. And it will take time to pass test, all the process must re-iterate. So I see it available maybe at the beginning of 2018, for Ledger.

Wow, good news for Neo holders. We were seeking this development from ledger nano s team and finally they announced this. It will be more secure to store NEO in our hardware wallet.

One thing that I don't understand, does the Ledger company sell the Nano S in batch so they update their hardware with the new coins.

Or they release a new update for the hardware like a firmware where the users should manually update the Nano S in order to get working with the new coins that have been added?

And seems that bitcoin hardware wallets are moving fast into altcoins and this is perfect!
