The network issue is a general problem, Nigerian has to sanction telecommunication companies, is just that ncc knows all this but instead of doing the work how it is suppose to be, you will see them trying to be compromised by the same company the are sent to supervise, Nigeria has a lot of problem now and network should not be one of them, if there areas this companies need assistance from the government, it better for them to say it out than continue making people go through stress for know reason, this companies pay tax, they should hold the government responsible if the government is not doing their own part.

It is mostly MTN that has those issues these days. I do not know about the other network, and i will say they sent messages to their customers  apologizing to them. I am surprised because this has not happened for some time now, so for MTN to be having these issues, then it must be something serious. However, since i couldn't do without the internet, i bought another MiFi broadband, this time it is Airtel network. This way, if i have issues with the MTN network, I will switch to Airtel. If Airtel has issues, I will switch to MTN.
Seriously everyone is complaining Abt network issues dis days is very terrible, the worst network self na MTN and GLO, Airtel self wan de join body with dem , people that deal with network business they will be sheltered bcox of how bad the network is POS, online banking, even people who makes Moni online dis network issues is just all over the nation the way Nigeria dey now wey things just dey happen ,e wan con de affect our network to may God help us

You are not getting it right. This thread was created on the 5th of March when the network was very good. It was a day before yesterday which was 14th of March that the recent network issue began. Some hours that day on the same 14th of March, MTN sent his customers messages and it was also all over the news. The reason this thread was created has been shifted to what is happening recently, but this is not the correct thread for it.

This is the correct thread for what is happening recently: Nor be Your Data Finish,  Na Underwater internet cable cut cause am

Your location could be the reason. My network is good. But I noticed that the 4G network is not as good as before when there was no 5G in the town that I am living. But as we have 5G now, the 4G is not as good as before, although not totally bad. My 4G router got damaged. I have a better Internet experience with my 5G phone and when I connect my 5G router with my old 4G phone.

Or if you are very rich, you can go for Starlink which its internet connection can be good even in places that the ISP networks are not good.

Yeah you are right about location but this days network no be matter of location, the place wey I Dey, I Dey the place like many years now and the place network too good that is why i like the place sef, this days na so network be, network no good at all, na everybody Dey complain about network this days, so I no see anything wey concern the location wey person Dey here, network na all over and if things sup na all over e go affect everybody, e no matter 4G or 5G phone, even if you are using 10G and network no good my broda na the same thing e go be, na waiting be main problem this days, this one wey I talk no mean say you no get points ooh but this time now we Dey bad network period.

How much do you trust mobile network these days?

Since the beginning of these month and late last month the network issue has been unbelievable imagine when some one would have data but can't get access to the internet because of poor network. Yesterday was the worst I had an update I wanted to drop online before going to church but the network that morning was very bad even the recharge card I bought to make a call I couldn't load it, it was as if I was restricted from making phone calls or coming online at some point I taught it was my phone that was disturbing or even my SIM card but later observed from my neighbor that it was not only me.

If this network issues continues like this Omo it will be very bad oo. Nothing can be trusted now an emergency can occur but you can't trust your mobile network to deliver you then why the phone in our hands na wah oo.
Op you are right this network issue have really makes me  Lost some many customers yesterday in my shop do to no network in my POS machine people that came to make transaction in my shop was stranded, the must anoing part of it is that I was just thinking that it's only MTN that is only having the challenge, I try to switch to my AIRTEL in my phone with hotspot but couldn't even connect..

One thing about the country is, we follow trends. something must be happening to keep the people distracted from battling the real issues, if you watch Nigeria very well you will discover that most times we have different trends that have to entertain us till another issue surfaces.

Like, a few weeks ago we had the issues of Fed and binance against dollar rise and increase of goods and services. Prior that time we have the issues of fuel scarcity and high price and so it goes, every month that passes by we must have something that is distracting us one way or the other and now we are facing network issues on all the network based in nigeria perhaps MTN and GLO in particular has been the worst of them all.

Some days now i couldn't make good post because I have been facing the network barriers. Although today had the opportunity to come make at least some post and see what happening in the forum because I'm now using a better network than our regular networks, it's always good to have an alternative for every thing Incase the main option decides to fallout.

If you can afford an Ntel network you should go for it because it's very strong compared to the regular networks we are used to.
The worst disadvantage of this network issue is that I just can't access my online banks to make transfer, my money there is being stocked and no any means of using it since the bad network would not give me access to log in. I'm scared and tired, who knows what the next problem to be faced in this country might be, each day a whole new story.
You mentioned another network, do you mean Airtel or really Ntel?cos I don't know about it.

This network issue is really something else, for the past two days now no way ,I even tried another network still to no avail.  I don't really know what this country can offer to her citizens that one can be proud of ,imagine no network to make call or even browse . May God save and help us .

This network issue is all over the nation, not just in two states. Before I was complaining that it was only our location that was known until I saw many people's complains about the defference area that their network too. Some people's thinking is that is only MTN network that is misbehaving and is not is both Airtel, GLO, Etisalat, etc.

Because from the information I had earlier today that this issue comes from where Nigerian networks generate, it's true there that they are some cables that have been removed by themselves. That's why the network is no longer functioning like before, and sometimes it can even go off totally and the network cannot circulate. But with what some are saying, they're now working on it, which will soon be better.

We live in a country where once an upgrade becomes available, we abandon the former and jump to the new.
Am saying so because of how 5G network is more developed  to function while leaving 4G, 3G networks to suffer from neglect by the networking companies.

In developed societies like many of the big cities in our country, the network is always good and I believe the signal gets distorted where there are few mast, less number of residents, and hills, but what do I know.

Personal network is the best solution to stay online with connectivity regularly because even the rate of data consumption these days is higher and when there's no network to call, it's worse while waiting or pausing a transaction because MTN or Airtel has no network.

Network thing for naija depends on your location. Even people for the same village no dey receive same coverage either because dem dey far from their mask area or the house wey dem dey live get some obstruction wey make network no dey too touch there.

Although e still be like say wetin op talk get some meaning there for the network issues. Sometimes the network dey seize and the thing go dey make some people talk say maybe government don disconnect the network when them no want make people know wetin dem want do. Although this is not verified though .

Another thing wey we go look be say this NIN wahala self make some lines no dey go and you keep trying without knowing it has been disconnected by the service provider.

Solution generally na to still get all the lines incase you notice say one no dey give you wetin you want then you can change to another. Basically, having a 4G phone in naija you are good to go for now and people wey don already move to 5G don dey upgraded.

Sometimes it also depends on your smartphone on which you are using, there are phones with poor network connection having fault coming from the panel of the phone, I have experienced stuff like this. MTN was the best network to use for browsing but recently their activities are very poor and I prefer using GLO service instead.

See know you have to know that even our country self if you get one source of income e dey dangerious so na so we no supposed get only one source of network instead we get two or more maybe almost all the network providers this oen like this go help you secure your network against any attack except all the networks are down entirely.

This issue has been discussed early 2022 wey network was like a shit to us. And really mobile network in Nigeria is not good for internet business because the network providers are not doing well to their customers. Like this days now if you buy a data if 5k and with 3 days data has been exhausted and you pay again and that make plenty people to use app to browse. There was a time last week or there about because of network issue I no post anything dat day and it was di follow day completed my post of the day and that is very bad omen for the network. Just like light is very good in operation likewise network is very important for online businesses.

But the problem is from the Nigerian government and it agencies. NCC never ready to do work because they are taking bribe from the network providers. This our work here steady network is needed.

How much do you trust mobile network these days?
I've lost trust for our information networks in all aspects because the interests of our federation government is extremely unexceptional.
I don't trust the network providers just like I don't trust the media same fact of the federal governments interests hijacking and manipulating all institutional sectors for self interest.
The network has been bridging for some days now without an maintenance informatione as usual. So it left me thinking that the government is at some operational levels bridging the network connection from this end, that's Incase it isn't a nationwide.

Even NEPA hardly you see light them come up with their own that national grid down brake down abi collapse, they just they use citizens they cruise as every tin done turn scam for the country.

Even communication sector like gotv, dstv etc once you sub weather you watch or not it keeps reading for you which is very bad, and is not meant to be so if the country is working with good policy.

All network are not reliable it won't be good if you only depend on a particular network because it can dissapoint you when you will really want to do something very important.  It will be good to have other network,  so that whenever you have any issues with any of the network you can switch to the one that is better.  Network issue should not be a burden to you in our country because this is what we are used to and I am sure you will be able to handle it.

Sparking about network issues your location device might be the reasons why you have challenges, MTN network is good and strong but the environment you are might be the reason why your network is not strong enough to go through Internet. There are areas where you might find other networks service like Airtel, GLO, or MTN. In the environment I stay there is an MTN mass and sometimes when the power supply is down network won't be too strong so they have to put it on before the network gets stronger. If you are using a cellphone to access this forum I think you should dial this code on your phone to set up preferred network type *#*#4636#*#*
