In my opinion, it was never your skill that wins you in a game. It is a combination of many things. And if you are aware and know how to handle these things then you will not feel remorse nor you will feel victorious. You will feel content, that you were responsible with your actions. You wholeheartedly accepted them as your own. Fate also is in play if you believe in it. You know its meant to be, so you accept it easily.

Exactly! You are the one holding your money, so whatever decision you make for that, it is your responsibility. Why would you blame anyone if it is your doing? And whatever outcome it will be, you have to accept it because that's how you move forward in this life. If you will regret your past actions, your head will be a mess.

Good advice and logical reasoning. But nevertheless, regardless of whether you won or lost, all the responsibility lies with you - since you yourself made the decision to start the game and took all the risks. I think most people are rational and understand this.

Come on you raise your account from $50 to $500 by placing micro bets and because you feel you can continue with this winning strike

you start placing $100 bets & end up losing it all,you definitely have to blame your self.. because greed got the best of you !

Lets call a spade a spade!

but the major reason for your loss is "bad luck" for which you were not responsible at all!
Maybe yes maybe not but we should try to apply some calculated risks  Roll Eyes not bad luck

I don't blame myself if there's something that I've done wrong. Having a positive mindset, I always ended up thinking that it's a lesson learned and there will be another opportunity that will come to my life. Blaming yourselves on losses will just stress you out and that's not healthy to your mental health. At the end of the day, it is just a game.

Who are you going to blame then yourself?
Nobody forced you to bet, so you should take responsibility for your actions.
Win or lose make your on decision, and don't blame other people.
Never bet more than you can afford to lose.

Blaming yourself will only have an impact on mental and emotional stress. This will also have long-term effects of doubt, panic, and regret. From this bad effect, should self-blame be continued?
But, if you bet 1 btc and lose, you blame yourself but had you won 2 btc, would you give credit yourself? You would.
In this case, it may relate to how much we bet, the risks, and profits that we can take. Before betting, we should have known our chance to win and lose. Determining the amount is also important enough. Betting for about 1 BTC? I don't think I want, moreover for the newbie or the beginner. Betting in a high amount is too risky.

Why not? In some occasions I do blame myself for the wrong options or for the wrong move that brought about my loss. If I can't blame myself, then who else should I blame for my misfortune? Imagine betting on sport games and instead of me picking up the best olds and someone els took the advantage of being a friend and convinced me to pick against my wish, if I loss the game; I will definitely have to blame myself and not my friend. Many times when I gamble and loss, I always queried my inner man till sleep come.

Easy to say but it is really hard to avoid on not to blame yourself when you do loss.We know that regrets would always comes in the end.Its all random but
if you do know how to manage and stop yourself mid way specially when you are already in green then that would be a fulfilling step you had made but majority
will really end up on continuous playing due to aim on making more money and when you lost? thats the time that you would blame up yourself because you
do made such wrong decision to continue to play even you do have in mind on stopping and securing your profits but you do let yourself out of control
and still proceed.

The most important thing however when a lose streak is present is to not sulk over it for too long.

I agree. And always set a limit. This is my "gamble money" for this month . Which is like a money for fun.
Most problems happens when people try to catch up losses and they start taking money from their savings.
There's no good thing when you are already chasing up something specially your losses in gambling field.Always set up a limit then you're good.

I think most of us blame ourselves not for losing, we do it for not quite at the right time. Sometimes we move up to profit, then go down to the starting point and that is a good moment to quit, but we stay until losing all. And at the end of the day we feel bad for not walking away with the same amount that we start because for a moment we had the chance to do it.

It's normal to just blame yourself for the loss. There really isn't anyone to blame for your misfortunes except yourself, so I don't think there's any other way to accept any loss without admitting that you are to blame for whatever the outcome is of your 'gamble.' Bad beats happen, sure, but those bad beats wouldn't happen if you didn't gamble in the first place. Take responsibility on your gambling habits and learn to accept that not everything is winnable, and every gamble that you take is your loss and yours alone.

But, even though the greed is partly to blame for your loss, but the major reason for your loss is "bad luck" for which you were not responsible at all!
Luck is a big factor but being greedy would make it more worst because you havent able to manage on what you should supposedly gonna do in times when you are winning.

If you do let yourself do play further just because you are winning and aiming for more then thats simply greed. You do have some point though but i can say that greed does

really give out a big factor.
Hence, stop blaming yourself, move on, save money and gamble what you can afford to lose. Stop blaming and stop appreciating yourself. It's all random!

Thats when you do talk about luck-based games but if we do talk about strategy based one, then it would be an another story.
You would surely have the edge when you do know a certain game though.

In my opinion, it is we who need to blame ourselves and why not because we took that decision to gamble and no one else was responsible for it. It is only the greed within ourselves that has to be blamed. I am not sure why you are saying that we should not blame ourselves?

Why wouldn't you blame yourself for your loss? You took a gamble on a game of chance, if you're not to blame... Who is? (Chance?)

The fact is, you should take responsibility for your actions and assess things logically. Skill cannot help you overcome odds, even if you get a lucky run every now and then that just happens to align with a new strategy you were trying.

Overall, whether you win or lose is down to your decision to play, and that's on you.

Going against the odds is always mismanagement of funds IMO, especially when you don't have the funds to risk.

You should not and do not make a habit of blaming yourself when you lose in gambling, gambling should be fun and it is meant to be a form of entertainment, once you blame yourself because of losing the money you are here to make money, not to have some fun, and you need to change the direction you are going in gambling.
Your point is valid but most of peoples going in gambling not for fun most of them are going for money may be its not in all around but in our region its true they want to win big and become rich just because of this I watch many gamblers blaming own skills and few luck but sadly luck is never been with any one forever its all need some good education then may be most of them can understand.

there's no point in you blaming yourself for what happened...
losing a lot of money because of self-confidence or a great desire when playing gambling has often happened, this has become human nature. letting go of loss is the best way to be more focused later on, stopping playing gambling on that day when you feel like your luck has started to diminish is the best way to reduce the risk of losing money.

Well for me blaming myself is encouraging myself, as simply as I talk to myself where did I go wrong then study and change it the way it will for me the next time basically it is part of learning from your experiences especially in gambling wherein we do our choices on our own, so who you'd blame for? of course yourself. Some might find this bothering, but for people whose their money maker is gambling they will surely understand this.

Well, thank you for encouraging us as a gambler but this is the right mindset.
Move on, indeed right. Dont blame your self or even others if you were had lost, --because that is a game that supposed to gamble just for fun and nothing else aside from that. If you have this mindset, I don't know if you are into addiction because you can able to manage your self from the possible outcomes in gambling. For me, I set funds to gamble that I ready to lose but of course, do your best as much as you can that you will win in every bet you have, either it is good luck or bad luck.

Blaming anything is not going to change the thing which is already happened, so stop blaming just start act smartly. If you care about your funds and don't want to lose them on bets then don't go for gambling but if you are decided to bet then you have to accept the outcome of it no matter of whether it is a win or lose.

I am a victim of this trap. Whenever I have won big, I have always appreciated myself and thought it was my skills. And whenever I lost, I blamed myself and my greed for losing.

But, even though the greed is partly to blame for your loss, but the major reason for your loss is "bad luck" for which you were not responsible at all!

The guilt of losing, the regret, it kills us slowly and forbids us to enjoy gambling as entertainment and forces us to try to recover and take risks.

But, if you bet 1 btc and lose, you blame yourself but had you won 2 btc, would you give credit yourself? You would.

But, if you won, it wasn't your good skills but "good luck" behind which you had no hand in. Similarly, if you lost, it was because of "bad luck" and not your mismanagement.

Hence, stop blaming yourself, move on, save money and gamble what you can afford to lose. Stop blaming and stop appreciating yourself. It's all random!
