I can say that although it's not recommended I do have 1 x : 7xxx, 6xxx and 5xxx cards mining in the same machines without issues.  I have different gpu-engine and gpu-fan settings set for each card, but otherwise it works.  I don't have any of my cards that are BTC mining at an aggression over 9, and haven't ever seen any benefit of going above that.  For LTC mining I do, but not for BTC.

You may be getting HW errors that are tough to see from the output given from 50miner.  I would suggest downloading CGMiner and puting together a simple batch file that has nothing but:

cgminer.exe -I 9 -o http://pit.deebitnet:8332 -u [email protected] -p PASSWORD

and see if you get anything from the 2nd card.  Also, on that card, see if you start racking up HW Errors  on each card's summary line, you will see that number after "HW:".  This number should be 0.

If that works, you can mess around with some of the other settings if you want to, but this will give you another example of if that card is working at all or not.

Yes I do.  I have a 5830 and 5770 together.

Does yours not show up in device manager?

HD 7700 Is my other GPU and it has mined fine from the start, wondering whether installing older drivers would effect the 7700?

Shouldn't have installed the beta drivers grr.

Yes it will effect 7700 if you backlevel your drivers.  So I wouldn't mess with it if the 7xxx card is working correctly.

The CGMiner FAQ has driver and SDK suggestions for bitcoin mining.  Also there are a bunch of threads stating to not mix 5xxx and 7xxx cards in the same machine for this reason.

50 miner is 50BTC's miner, but it has nice user friendly features and is not limited to just 50BTC Cheesy

The card was used a few months ago to play league of legends, that's all i can remember.

Gonna try your suggestion and then Phoenix!

Sure give it a whirl.

I just noticed that you have Catalyst 13.3 installed and you stated that you have OpenCL 1.2 but its the SDK version that matters so if you installed the OpenCL SDK/runtime that comes with Catalyst 13.3 that may well be your problem.

5xxx series cards work best with SDK 2.1 to 2.5 and NOT 2.6  and higher.  Also I believe Catalyst 2.8 or earlier is best but do not install the OpenCL and then install the older OpenCL afterwards.  I use Catalyst 12.1 and SDK 2.5 with my 5xxx series GPU's.

Did you say you had another GPU on this system?  If so what is it?

The CGMiner FAQ has good suggestions for Catalyst versions and OpenCL SDK's for bitcoin mining.

Hmm,  I thought 50Miner was written by a specific pool for a specific pool, which is not Deepbit??  Can this miner work for other pools?

Anyway on my low end card, the aforementioned Radeon 4670, I use Phoenix 1.75 and use an aggression of 4, because I use the machine for other things, and a worksize of 32 and I do use poclbm as well.  Also I do have -v in there for vectors.

If you want to try Phoenix 1.75 or CGMiner I may have some other suggestions.

Does this GPU work for games or other things?

This is all i know how to show you lol. Might i add that in the catalyst control center it says that the 2nd card is disabled, even though i thought i changed the registry
to enable it.

I don't have certain settings cause ive been switching them about constantly to try and get it working,

Well there is not much we can attempt to do without some information.

How about you post one of your configurations.  We would need a complete command line that you attempted to mine with but failed and then we can work from there.

So What miner are you using?

What OS?

What version of Catalyst?

what OpenCL version?

The main thing is the miner command line for starters though.

I have already looked round the forum, i saw that changing something in the registry settings fixed this for some people but not me.

Its only a HD 5450 But every little helps... (not in this case as its not giving me anything)

It says its pulling about 20-25mh/s But never ever ever gets any shares. been trying for days now.

Think it could just be old and busted?

What are your settings for it?  Only time I have seen that a GPU isnt getting shares when it seems to be hashing away is if the intensity is something is set to high for it.

I have a Radeon 4670 that gets about a share a minute at 35Mhs.
