I am pretty sure that a majority of business owners would see you as a cocky arrogant individual who does not know how to properly go about obtaining what they want. Besides, one individual is not going to make up a fraction of any businesses sales in the long term, so its going to take more than one person to sway their opinion.

Hi, I'm Marty.
That'll leave a nice first impression with stores that don't accept it. They will never want to see another one of the aholes who talks about bitcoin. Instead, if you felt like it, you could discuss how accepting bitcoin could save them the 1.5-3% fee they pay for using credit cards with no risk of chargebacks.

Thank you for an intelligent reply to a very stupid and childish statement.
I accept coin at my stores but if someone came in spouting that trash I would toss em out. Grow up and think.

The important thing in shopping is not to say that you will only buy with bitcoin, the important thing is to say that you don't mind paying with cash or with credit card but that you will only buy if they give the option of paying with bitcoins to all their clients.
Like: you show and wave the money and cards and say: I am ready to pay with this money but I never buy the most expensive item on my shopping cart if the shop doesn't accept bitcoin.
Then if they don't accept you say, then I only want these items, the most expensive one I may buy when you start accepting bitcoin.
