My wish is to lose some Bitcoin to a stranger over the Internet.

Man oh man, I hope it comes true!  Fingers crossed!

Did you know wishing wells have a successrate of up to 83%?

Not dissing you or your site, bud, but seriously! I suggest self-host Wordpress as your CMS, and proofread, proofread, proofread.

Later, bud.

As I doubt that you've dropped the only copies of the private keys for those addresses down the well then the money goes to you rather than the potential wish granting 'spirits' of the well, you could spend it on some old silver coins say & drop those down the well on the wisher's behalf but you don't claim to do this either.

Personally the best Bitcoin wishing well for me is the genesis block that was mined by Satoshi & which can't be spent due to a quirk in the way that the genesis block is expressed in the code (this may have been intentional), traditionally for a wish to be granted a sacrifice of something that you value given to a 'sacred' or symbolically important place/entity may well work, but to send money to some chancer on the Internets is not the same thing at all.

I've sent over 4 BTC to Satoshi's genesis block address & no I can't tell you what I may have wished for or whether it's been granted as yet, incidentally coins made effectively irretrievable only adds their value to those remaining by increasing scarcity.

This is one step down from begging for coins.

This is the equivalent to standing on the corner with a cup of change.

And for every wish, there is the one and only Bitcoin Wishing Well !!!
Succes rate up to 83%!
Only you can make your wishes come true, the wishing well only strengthens you to fulfill it.
No cashback on unfulfilled wishes: removing coins from a wishing well causes bad karma.

http://blockchain.info/address/1PTtLQtAHjDKr23EdGXPhH9w6EAEJip9A7

83% success of 0.00 wishes.

Nice math!

Next time put up a few dummy transactions at least.

There's some old Dutch coins in the well, you don't see them in the blockchain but I see them when I look into the well.
It's very old, you know.

Can't get them out, that's bad karma.

I take it you won't ever spend those Bitcoins either....... that would be bad karma  Roll Eyes

Scam site.

You wish.

Huh  Why would I wish for this site to be a scam?  It is what it is, simple enough.

MaGNeT, I did not refer to you at all. I do not know you, why would I. It was just a general wish, just as you asked.
