Founded 3 diffirent version of gtx 1080 but all have 8 gb version.

the size of the memory is the same, bandwidth also same and only SPEED changed, don't mix the things.

@Topic it would be interesting, if its only the speed or also the quality of the memory. it would be nice if some producers would change their memory suppliers and ban micron Smiley)))))) and use samsung memory

The memory speed should for equihash. compare your hashrate just by overclocking your memory, makes a bit of a difference, so yeah, a whole ghz should give some extra boost.
Also few of evga icx ftw2 cards have a bios update that boosts it to 11ghz too.

they released a ZOTAC GeForce® GTX 1080 AMP Extreme+   ...with "+" and it is 11.2ghz vs 10.8ghz compared to its predecessor

curious on what will be its performance on ZEC compared to 1080 ti models... the 1080 ti amp extreme is also at 11.2ghz hmm.

Do you think 3.5% increase will affect on hashing?

Both cards are going to be faster by 1 GHz. The new GTX 1080 now has 11 Gbps of effective memory speed, while the new GTX 1060 has 9 Gbps.
I think this give us a nice boost for Equihash mining if overclockable like 8gbps version (+500)

Who will be the first? Just curious to test it
