you think run em at 200?

 not 210-220?

They might go 210-220, but that really depends on the individual units and cooling. 400 freq should be fine with the PSU you purchased. I'd keep the Thermaltake. From my experience, 71a on a single rail is better than 1000w on 4 rails for mining.

well i cut the wires because every guide i seen was a few years outdated...

no guide says anything about pcie... guess thats a new feature...

i was wondering about that... but spliced anyways,,,,

Why did you cut the wires? You have pcie connectors, so cutting wasn't nescesery.

My Corsair 850rm Will not run 2 overclocked S1 on 393, I use a 1000W per 2 ants.

ok... well i got ant #1 today, they sure are a pain to setup, and the wire cutting takes a while too...

ummm... i still was asking about the over clocking?

can i over clock 2 ant-s1's with an 850w power supply? single rail.

or should i run them stock? or is 850w going to be enough?

also i was reading about the 400mhz and was thinking about going with the 393.75MHz, but not sure if i should touch anything...

its running great 0% errors....

i kinda want to run the single over clocked for now because im waiting on the second to get here....
i ordered ant-s1 #2 this morning...

but i am unsure if i can...

the power cables are a little warm... i can feel that the current is moving through them...

well the question was... about oc...

some say yay, some say nay...

would it be ok to run this psu:
http://www.thermaltakeusa.com/products-model.aspx?id=C_00001716

with 2 ants oc'd to 200 ?

or should i go a little lower? definitely dont run em both at 210-220, right?

'The right to privacy matters'
this runs 3 s-1s it pulls 1215 -1225 watts

overclocked to freq 393

pulls 1215 watts at the k-a-watt plug but make sure you have nothing else on that power circuit if it is a 15 amp circuit 1225 watts is enough

it was in my hot deals thread  for 194 and 10% in bonus points to be spent at a later date

not even a little over clocked?

probly just best to run stock til i get more ants?

my first rig... 2 ants s1 and 850... i didnt think it was bad for my first setup...

If you dont wish to spent much money
1) buy from ebay server type very strong PSU (small mod need to be done)
2) by two cheep computer PSU and use the 850W to run one S1 overclocked and
use the other two cheep one to power each blade separetly.
You have to open them the same time and have two plugs etc but cheeper way is cheeper way.

850 power supply is more than enough juice to power two overclocked antminers

That 850 will work,as long you don't OC the Ants  Wink

I use this 850 watt for 2 stock Ants & its run great for 2 months  Grin

I got it at a TigerDirect walkin store for $100,it was mislabeled & the manager went ahead & sold it to me at that price  Cool

Best part is,there are no double connector PCIE plugs, all 6 are single plug cables...3 6pin & 3 8pin separate cables.

ok i ordered two antminer s1's and its chinese labor day... so i have to wait til monday for them to ship it... but!

while i was out and about today i bought a power supply... i didnt realize til i was 1/2 down the street...
that there was a 1000w psu for the same price... but i looked at specs and think i got the right one...

i bought: http://www.thermaltakeusa.com/products-model.aspx?id=C_00001716

but this is the 1000w: http://www.frys.com/product/6494502?site=sr:SEARCH:MAIN_RSLT_PG

im thinking i bought the right one... because i think the 1000w is 4 rails...

it wasnt exactly cheap... and im not worried about that.. but at frys, selection was kinda limited.. but i was told an 850 will work...

the box says 7yr waranty, and frys said 30day returns.... so if it blows up i can get my cash back still...

what do you think... i know there is a whole section on power supplys but i spent over 30 minutes in the store
and the psu guide isnt exactly english....  the only think i think i learned from the guide is you need 6 yellow and 6 black
and single rail is the best.... and well... everything else kinda is alien... im sure ill get it to work... just wondering
if anyone has experience with this psu, or knows?
