if you want to see if your gear works test it on ck solo pool

https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/yh-solockpoolorg-2-fee-solo-mining-256-blocks-solved-5237323

pool         = stratum+tcp://solo.ckpool.org:3333
worker     = use a btc address you control
password = x

its solo. mining so it likely will not make money

below

viabtc with no referral code.

https://www.viabtc.com

it should mine there

my referral code if you want to use it I get a few pennies and it does not affect your payout.

this pays regularly

I heard most of the Avalon miners don't work mining on Nicehash so maybe you are mining on Nicehash?
NiceHash requires a miner to use the stratum #XNSUB extension -- they use it to allow the miner to seamlessly change what it is working on w/o requiring a reboot or letting you know that it is changing work. If that was all that #xnsub could do, fine. Problem is that #xnsub can allow a plethora of other operations to take place and THAT is a huge security hole. The fact that it is security risk is why Canaan rightly does not support it.

Thanks for the info, good to know.

Stop using crap pools!

I've used a number of different pools with Antminers. Is Canaan that picky?

What's your suggestion?

Thanks. I was thinking Internet connection too. It's on DHCP and no conflicts. I don't have any spaces in the pool URL. Another told me to download the older FMS and use the "Aging" button. So I'm trying that too. I have other miners working so unless Canaan uses a different port somehow, it should be working. I'll disabled all router security and try again.

What pool do you mine? I heard most of the Avalon miners don't work mining on Nicehash so maybe you are mining on Nicehash?

Can you try to test mining on ViaBTC or other pool listed from here https://miningpoolstats.stream/bitcoin

If you are looking for old version of FMS you can download it from here https://download.canaan-creative.com/fms/

Thank you for the reply. I am using prohashing and I've tried zergepool, nicehash, and zpool. It did work one time on prohashing for about 5 minutes. As it is right now, I can see the miner on prohashing, but it does not hash. The error on prohashing is, "waiting for response" and "maybe too difficult" or something like that.

I got the old version and tried "Aging". No joy.

I am wondering if it is a cold solder on the hash board (copper plates), so I'll re-solder it when my new soldering tools come in today.

Thanks again.

Another thing that I noticed from your logs is this part BOOTBY[0x04.00000000]

According to Canaan AM_BOOTBY_WEB = 0x04 Network backstage restart

It might be related to your internet connection or maybe your miner is set to static IP it always causes some IP conflict so try to set it to DHCP mode. Also, take note when adding the pool URL make sure you didn't add space as the first character before the pool URL or even at the end of the URL because it won't connect the pool it might cause you 5 minutes reboot without hashing.

1st thing: I received a new Avalon 1166Pro and not long after I powered it on, it died. Took the cover off and one of the ribbon cables was burned up. I've replaced the ribbon cable and with the help of Canaan support found the real problem. The brackets on the hash boards (tech calls them copper plates) and they get screwed to the power bar, came unsoldered from the hash board. So I'll be soldering those on when I get a proper soldering gun. One hash board looks okay. The brackets are not loose.

2nd thing: With just one hash board in, it will not start hashing. It shows online and everything NORMAL in FMS, but no hash. From the web browser it looks good all over, on the top page it shows Online and everything in green. Except no hash boards showing up in the top right corner near the fan speeds. So it's down to the log.

One thing I noticed is "ECHU[1 1 1] ECMM[1]." I tested it with another control board and the same thing. I keep telling myself it's something simple or maybe something I forgot to check. I have a couple of GPU mining rigs and I have three other ASIC miners running good. This one, the most expensive, is testing me. Canaan tech support replys to me about every 2 weeks.  Undecided

Any help is greatly appreciated.
