The load value is fine. Their credibility not higher. It is not a crime to try to make money. You vote with your wallet how you want the world to look. Just don't buy if you don't like.

this is true. we do vote with our wallet. however, we still complain with our keyboards Smiley

Just to clarify, and i know weve discussed these coins at nauseam on other threads. None of the bulls were actually swept or hacked. There was only an issue with the way the private keys were created. It involved a lengthier process to sweap not typical of what is normal. There was never a scam im aware of with either the 2014 eagle or bull. Just poor key production. I believe there was also one coin purchased in the secondary market by LC that had the hologram still affixed but no funds on the coin.
Yeah, I see where you are coming from, but I stick to my previous post given the sum of "hick-ups" that occured.
As someone said before, it might just be a rogue employee or whatever that compromised a whole project. Not saying it is indeed compromised, but there are some signs that I will not ignore this time. Maybe just oversensitive.

Here is the original thread regarding the swept 2014 eagle: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.54367281

As far as I know these coins are still safe and mine are loaded today.
If I read it correctly that's not what happened, indeed the funds were swiped twice, once before holo peel and once after refunded. (?)

but still just involving the one coin? Im not reading it again, lol.

I agree with you. They messed something up. Im more upset with them that they continue to try and capitalize on physical bitcoin but dont want to fully embrace crypto. I feel like they are taking advantage of our live of this hobby. I do think that since they are a big company they could do it right and make it safe. Avoid all the pitfalls that plagued them last time. But for now im steering clear of their products. Thanks for info and the thread K-werk

I own a few bulls and one eagle (first edition, not this new rip-off bs one).
And as much as I hate to speak ill on collectibles that I like (optics / quality), everything that's been going on with coins from their mint leaves a bitter taste in my mouth. Maybe 8 months ago I would have been more relaxed or just figured it was all explainable by some tiny mistakes / inexperience etc.
But with all that's happened this year (yogg, Titan, Betnomi...), it's another project with a bunch of red-flags - I myself and I believe quite a few fellow collectors here have the tendency to ignore these or try to "rationalize" things until it's too late.

tldr: Will stay away from these, too much fishiness going on, haven't decided what to do with the coins in my possesion, probably hodl and pray for now.

That's kind of ironic isn't it. The originals are hacked so this nominal amount loaded on the fake is more of a reflection of the originals actual value isn't it hahahah. I'm not sure if the binary bulls have been hacked or not yet. The design is still cool, but shoot what are they thinking over there making this cool of coin with hardly any crypto or it SMH

Who said the originals are hacked?

Do you have evidence that the Sol Noctos Binary Eagle was hacked / funds stolen / not loaded anymore?

thanks!

He misspoke, he meant the Bull. Or forgot it was the Bull that was swept and not an eagle.

Lol I’ve got plenty to say about this absolute horseshit and the companies behind it. I’m too tired right now to get in to it, but I wouldn’t trust Power Coin or Top World Coin. Shady ass company(s)

Gotta agree here with this....I like the designs they come out with...but their rep from past issues with these coins isn't the best.

I will steer clear of this coin for sure no matter how appealing it looks or how minute the amount of BTC is supposedly loaded on it.

this is either the 3rd or 4th one they have done. I have the first one but only because I won it in a raffle if I recall.

Dump the box.

Increase loaded value.

Then you'd have a product.

Beautiful coin.

These guys frusterate me sooo much. What a missed opportunity. Dope designs and great coins but continually miss the point of physical bitcoin. Im so tired of exchanging emails with them. Just want to capitalize on the popularity of physical but not make it worth anybody's time. I mean really. Why even load 30 cents
Exactly that. Design and quality / finish are great. I also very much like to see 2oz of silver.
As everybody seems to agree, the 1000 sats funding is a joke. Sure it proves the point, it's now a crypto collectible, but this is not a 0.5g coin, it's over 60gs - I want a value that at least reflects the precious metal value.
And yes 200€ for a practically unfunded coin is just too much - that very nice looking box doesn't change that fact.

yep no mention of the original, and they want 200 usd for a 2oz coin that isnt even an original design and has only 1000 sats loaded...

seems to be standard par for course these days in collectibles - huge price tags for very little value in trade.
I agree. I’m all for 999 silver collectibles but that is an insane amount for what you’re getting. If this was even a super original looking coin or bar id consider it but at the price point they set this coin at I just don’t see any value here.

So called United Crypto states (brand by Polish Mint21) just released new coin, Binary eagle:

https://www.ucs-coins.com/binary-eagle

What seems somewhat odd to me, is they used the very same design as 2014 Sol Noctis, without ever mentioning the original:

https://www.powercoin.it/en/mennica-polska-poland-mint/1581-binary-eagle-bitcoin-sol-noctis-e-beam-nanogram-silver-coin-1-btc-cent-2014.html
