I can put up a site in 2 min.

The point is that if people were interested in a show like I am proposing, they would post in this thread.

That is based on you are wanting only an audience that is contained not even with the Bitcoin.org forums, but just the Bitcoin Discussion specific part of the forums.  I suggest putting up a site if it is something you believe in and value the interest shown from an audience just the brief time you were up

That's not happening so I am shying away from continuing any work on this project.

I don't think a simple website is going to generate more interest for this project.

I've seen another show which I found very one sided.  Chat users with legit comments and questions were ignored and or banned.  You are either very positive about BTC or you are banned.

I have no financial interest in seeing Bitcoin succeed.  I find it to be an interesting concept and I would love to discuss it further but without a salesperson host controlling the overall tone and avoiding the sticky issues.  I had assumed others might feel the same way.  Perhaps I am wrong.

If anyone has any interest you are welcome to contact me.

Thanks.  Smiley

I think you have the wrong way of thinking with having a website as something to generate interest.  I actually think you need a place where people can in fact contact you and keep up to day with show times past just the forums here.  A lot of people are interested in Bitcoin, and possibly you talking about it, but you have to understand you need a static way to contact you, check on the show, etc, outside of the Bitcoin.org forums.

Let me ask, if I were to start a Bitcoin podcast, and it have a live version with a spot on the site just for the live version, maybe even with one of those fancy chat tickers on the side, would you want to be a part of that?   Interested of taking your thoughts, keeping it live, and have someone else take care of the rest of the shit you do not think seems to make a difference in having people interested in your show being able to listen to it Smiley

Suggestion.  Take a half hour, make a quick landing page web site.  Leave contact info for people to have topic ideas.  Have at least a set time slot for a show time, live is great, but let people know a show time at the least.  You seem to have the interest there with someone calling in Smiley

I had 1 caller whom I could not hear.  I resolved that technical issue and I am patiently waiting for another caller.

It seems to me that there are MANY people online and posting in real time about Bitcoin.  I thought there would be users hungry for frank and open discussion in a radio or TV format, LIVE.

I could continue to build up a show with a website, etc. etc.  But if I can't get any interest off the bat then it would be stupid to invest more time into building up a project that no one cares about.

If users show interest then I will continue.  Otherwise, I got plenty of other projects to work on.  Smiley

You are obviously very eager to get this off the ground.  I see you linked your Twitter.  Use it!  Advertise the show past just the forum here.  Maybe work toward a Live show, but start off with some pre-recorded riffing of topics that will come up and etc.   It will give you time to make sure your equipment and site is running fine.

Also, notice the word site, make one :p   I respect the eagerness to get the show going, but you should have a few more elements going along with it first.  Honestly best of luck and I look forward to calling in when I am not busy with other things lol

Go for it. Do a youtube channel. I already like the bitcoin show, do something different that actually help the bitcoin "currency". Ie how to accept bitcoins if you are an Amazon or Ebay etc...

I really think you should give this a shot.  I am more than willing to call in via Skype and shoot the shit, I'm no expert.

Someone in the Newbie forum was looking for ideas for a production of some kind.  My suggestion is more talk with merchants and 'common man' and less on the topics of mining, currency, etc.  There is plenty of shows filling that market.

There's certainly interest in such a thing. Show everyone what you can do.

With little to no response on this topic I am likely abandoning the whole thing.  I'm surprised no one is interested in an alternative to the BTC shows which only highlight positives.  Oh well.  Carry on.

Hello,

In light of all the one sided BTC coverage, I am working on starting a BTC radio / TV show which let's callers decide the content of the show.  I have many years experience in T.V. and with audio.  If you are in the NYC area and wish to become involved please message me!

Also, would anyone out there be willing to call the show via Skype or phone?  Just trying to gauge interest here...
