It is best to be extremely paranoid and careful in the bitcoin mining business,
to avoid losing your money.

Background check is a must, when buying hardware.

Thanks Hagssfin.
I am normally very cautious but got over excited.
This thread at that point was just the first post and a link (New Bitfury B8)...Luckily I had a moment of paranoia when I looked at the amount I was going to spend and decided to check with Bitfury first.

Lesson learned for much less than it would have cost had I proceeded with a few more clicks.

I visited this site after it was first posted here on this forum and made it as far as the checkout with 2 B8's before pulling back and contacting Bitfury through their legitimate website first.
They told me they have nothing to do with this bitfury.shop site so yeah I can also confirm it is a scam.

Close call though.
The site looks very real.
I nearly lost a lot of money.

I have contacted official Bitfury via email, their price is 7.000 USD per unit, with delivery within 8 months.
You can contact [email protected]

Dont use the fake scam website... contact them directly

You also forgot to mention they have a minimum $2M USD order size....

Be wary of this website. I sent an email to Bitfury and they confirmed that they are not associated with bitfury.shop in any way. This is likely a scam!

Can you confirm that it is a legit webshop?

I can't see any link at Bitfury's official website www.bitfury.com

I cannot, kind of why I asked the question.

I'd am thinking it is legit as there is a guy in Toronto wanting to sell them.. Claims to have them on hand.  It's a 2 hour drive and that city has to many Fing people so going to find out isn't very tempting.

Just doing a little more recon on bitfury.shop.

1.  It's behind CloudFlare
2.  Bitfury.com is not behind CloudFlare
3.  http://www.crimeflare.info/cfs.html - reveals an IP address possibly associated with this cloudflare account.

Some CloudFlare-user domains with a direct-connect IP address of  185.145.131.236

bitfury.shop
catherby.pw
ddos.wtf

Hmm..

Then using the leet hacking tool of Google - [email protected]  email address comes up with some not-so-nice results.

Run, don't walk away from this deal.

Yes BitFury is definitely a very real company.

On there website www.bitfury.com they’ve stated beware of scams here’s our web page addresses.
It doesn’t list BitFury.shop <- this is important.

I’m
Just saying I’d be wary of it personally.

I agree - why is the domain registered from a Russian registrar?  Bitfury has no presence in Russia that I can see.  The photos of the product are also sketchy.  Looks like there are 6 Antminers in a rackmount conversion chassis.

Safe to call scam on this until proven otherwise.

These listings have been popping up on eBay.  This is a US firm, but the symbols/logos are similar.

Well it says two batches have already sold out.  So their has to be someone who will be reviewing these if true.  I should expect we see something confirming this unit shortly.

Yeah there’s no way the sold out notifications are fake..

The hashrate looks good, and price per TH is around usd$190+ per TH for total price + VAT.

Yep, the VAT is 21% and have to pay additional import tax for coming into the country.

Payment by BTC only, I guess only you old-timers have that kind of BTC sitting around waiting to be spend eh...
