Idea is interesting, however your method is flawed. People can simply spoof. You can't give something away for free and get rewarded for it, unless there's strict moderation.

Good effort, but it's rife with a number of hurdles. I would urge you to keep exploring and innovating.

This will not go through, there can be a lot of problems - first of all there are always several Internet providers. I think you must find better idea - for example, receive BTC from testing new products, trade bot making etc.  Wink

Tradebots (sell and buy) is not difficult to download on web.
poloniex have fields what you can fill when site is selling, when its buying and what coin...  Grin

I think it's fairly doable from my research, just needs bit of engineering resources Wink

is this something interested for anyone still? I have been working something similar or close to this plus couple more fundamental feature sets for the platform that will help to build public and private anonymous and autonomous secure network. what if any internet access is like using electricity, plug and work. and borders without ISPs..

I don't think it could work unless you manage to get millions of folks all over the country to share their connection, and that would require huge money to begin with. So...

Well it is a good idea but as you said it would take allot of work but then again... No one would think that a "digital money" could have a +$8 Billion dollar market cap a few years ago.

to decentralize internet access.

This needs to bypass the router firewall which make any device connceted in same wifi router vulnarable to access my another computer in network, and wifi range will be small so that altcoin should be famous and must be easy to buy by people near by you to pay you. I don't think this can be done at present.

You would need to install a special framework software to your wifi router
Forget your firewall, give access to your router directly!

lol. not like that.

my router has a secure network and a "xfinity" free wifi signal for others with xfinity.

so something like that.

What prevents me from spoofing my bandwidth usage by connecting with another device that appears like it isn't mine but actually is? Then I use a lot of bandwidth and get rewarded a lot of coins.

maybe you could charge some coins to use the connection. so i guess it would not be free.

Hello everyone. I recently thought of a new way to use blockchain tech and I think it would be a great idea.

We need to make a new altcoin for this...

It has to do with sharing free wifi with your neighbors in order to earn coins with (proof of bandwidth).

You would need to install a special framework software to your wifi router and it would record your wifi sharing and you would get rewarded new coins for sharing your internet connection. It would create an incentive to share your wifi with the public.

Imagine if anyone can find a free internet connection with ease.

I dont have the skills to create this idea but I really feel it would be a great new coin and I know I would get involved if it was created.

Do you guys think this could be made or is it just a crazy idea?
