Explore the fascinating story of Nick Szabo and his revolutionary idea Bit Gold. From 1998. He also single handedly invented Smart Contracts. Pretty dope if you ask me 🎉 Satoshi actually named Szabo and Bit Gold as one of the essential inspirations for Bitcoin!  https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.4508

Explore the fascinating history of Wei Dai and his ingenious idea behind b-money. The world's first decentralized digital currency. Pretty much a blueprint for Bitcoin. From 1998. (Oh and he came up with Proof-of-Stake as well)

Hello there dear Bitcoin community and blockchain enthusiasts!

I've made the experience that, especially fuled by the rather recently extensive media coverage, there is a lot of curiousity out in the world to understand this mesmerizing new technology and to fathom it's potential consequences. Since so many people are really interested in getting to know more about blockchain, I've recently decided to start a blog project, called 'blockwhat?'. In it, I explore the fascinating worlds of distributed ledger technologies, with a special focus on blockchains.

To start of, the first series of articles focuses on the history before Bitcoin, in order to give people a sound understanding of the fascinating developments that took place prior to the advent of the first blockchain.

I've made the experience that even many people who are super involved in the new blockchain craze rarely have a deep and fact-based understanding of the history of this technology.

I'd love to humbly invite you to explore the mindblowlingly interesting history behind Bitcoin together with me(:

Here is the most recent article, that takes a thorough look at the "father" of digital money and one of the earliest privacy advocats, David Chaum:

Please feel free to share any thoughts, comments and feedback you have!

Have a lovely day everyone(:
