I've never seen this before, this is new, right?
There's been a few updates lately.
Not sure how old it is, but for examle the profile pages have been updated recently aswell (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile).
Recently created topics ("Show the last topics started by this person.") were not available via direct link before.

I just saw the part about the topics that I created. I was wondering if I just did not pay attention until this day or if it was new, and it seems this new. But I am surprised that except this I saw no other mention of this, which is for me a great addon !

I don't think theymos wants reporting to be competitive to the extent that people report posts to increase their report count.
I think a futher incentive to make good, valid reports can only benefit the forum, and IIRC you had a similar opinion a while back.
We might disagree on what kind of incentive that is, at this point, I'd probably take anything.

Making reporting stats public on a regular basis also opens up the potential for people making complaints along the lines of 'hilariousandco' was made staff after 3,000 reports but I have 4,000 reports and should be made a mod (or my friend who I want in power has 4,000 reports and should be made a mod).
People complain about a lot of things, nobody would take stuff like that serious, would they?
Besides, we're already keeping track of the reporting stats in a meta thread, it would only ease up the process to get regular updates from the forum itself rather than doing it this way.
Oh and...shorena has close to (or even over) 11k reports, he should be made a mod.

Slightly off-topic here, but while we're at the topic of changes, how about this suggestion:

It would be nice if this information could be made public, as part of your profile information.

That feature was recently added. Before that, there was a 'hidden' public page, but it's easier to check this way. Actually that's why it was introduced, so that anyone could easily see and report a duplicate thread.
Yeah, I knew about the "hidden" page, it's listed in shorenas one thread to link them all[1], or rather in the list of hidden pages by nsoindovo[2].
Smooth addition to the user profiles though, really liking it.

It's not new feature.

Profile > Look and Layout Preferences > Show quick-moderation on message index as checkboxes.

Oh I see, sorry for the mistake Grin
But it's quite strange because I don't remember when did I activate that feature, it's like I never saw it before (or I do).
And I'm sure no one has access to my account besides me

I don't see it over here. I'm not sure what made it appear on your screen. Maybe there are some upcoming changes to the forum.

It's not there yesterday, as you can see here https://web.archive.org/web/20160126172357/https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=1.0
I never think about this feature before, but I think it would be a useful feature for the member.
