I would want a .coin domain. Did you actually register this for real so people can type .coin domains into their web browser? I heard it costs like $100,000 USD to register a TLD.
EMC is faster than namecoin and bitshares, it is great!

Somehow I do not see much enthusiasm. I will register the domain emer.coin (emc) and btcsec.coin (emc) - the other, including bit.coin takes someone who wants to do it after the release.
The addition of decentralized DNS to Emercoin is an exciting development, and it will be interesting to see what services are built on this. I look forward to more information being released to the public in October, when the API is made public in the release of wallet 0.3.
In the short term it is good that you are offering a chance for pre-registration of *.coin and *.emc. This at least gives some a chance to claim their name, before the gold-rush begins

Currently we have started preliminary registration of domain records in domain zones “*.coin” and “*.emc”.
So, if you wish to pre-register your domain(s), please send the request to [email protected] for preliminary registration. The request should contain domain names(s), and EMC-address to which we could transfer ownership. The ownership address can be any EMC-address from your wallet program.
We reserve right to deny any request if consider it to be squatting or malicious action. Any email from public e-mail services (gmail.com, homail.com, yahoo.com etc) will not be honored.
Pretty soon, in the mid of October, we are going to release new version of EmerCoin wallet 0.3.0. The new version will contain an important improvement, the fundamentally new infrastructure subsystem - Name-Value Storage. The subsystem will provide bunch of services (watch further updates), including distributed DNS, like it is implemented in NameCoin, but with more advanced features.
The ownership will be transferred in 1 week since new version of wallet will be released. After official release anyone will be able to register domain(s).
