Later today I'll make a faucet script where users earn money by mining with consent. Thanks for the feedback. If you still want to use this script, you can.

Agree.

And I can't stress this enough. When we hide our XMR miners, we are doing ourselves a major disservice.
We can be better than this.

1. Provide them with understanding of what goes on.
2. Make them opt in.
3. Don't ruin their experience.

XMR web miners are a great addition, and may be able to help save faucets. But not if we turn them into malware.

It's simply no effort because the backend of the script is this or my original script.

True... I was about to credit you and link to yours... I will do that now.
But... I took the extra effort to integrate CoinHive fully.
I also bugfixed yours quite a bit...

How exactly is CoinHive integrated? I just briefly looked at this script and it seems its just a faucet with embedded coinhive anonymous mining script, so basically its not that user would be mining monero and would be credited accordingly mined Hashesh, right?

No. The coinhive is used as an additional revenue stream to keep the faucet going. Additionally, the captcha is provided by coinhive, and you will be paid each time a user "solves" a captcha using their CPU power.

Right. So basically it is like I said. You just added coinhive anonymous miner and captcha. I think it is possible to setup only maximum of 16K hashesh for captcha, so basically nothing. Annonymous miner inserted into a website is question of 2 seconds and its nasty way of doing it. It will be blocked by adblockers and for example, Norton will soon or later put that website to a blacklist.

Well, If you would integrate mining per user and based on the mined hashesh user would earn a reward, it would make a sense to use this script and even pay you a small fee, but this is not that case.

It's simply not all effort you put in this script because the backend of the script is this or my original script.

Hello! I just created a new faucet script which is integrated with coinhive!
You can find it, as well as installation instructions, here: https://github.com/kev626/FaucetHub-Coinhive

CoinHive is a browser-mining revenue stream. It uses your faucet users' CPU power to mine Monero, which can be used as a way to fuel your faucet.
CoinHive also adds POW-based captchas, which are easy to integrate with my script. Simply paste your API keys in the admin panel and it will work!

Small note: I take a small fee of 1-3 satoshi from every faucet claim and withdraw. This is for the effort that I put into this script. I hope you all still decide to use it!

This script is a modified version of Salmen's faucet: https://github.com/Salmen2/FaucetHub-Faucet.

Thanks for trying this out!
