You're getting 7khs on your GPU? I just started mining Feathercoin yesterday, CPU only with the miner running on a Windows 7 PC in the other room at below normal priority (it's always on anyway, might as well use those cpu cycles for something) and a local feathercoind and p2pool instance on my Ubuntu box. That's getting me 4-5khs without touching the GPU (both PCs have older GPUs that apparently aren't compatible with any miners I've found).
I have a surplus Dell PowerEdge server here with a small hard drive and it has a Radeon for some reason (don't remember the specs off the top of my head, but why such a nice GPU for a headless server?).. thinking about setting it up as a dedicated miner too.. even have a small rack to mount it in with my old Cisco routers.

That seems actually pretty low. You should be able to achieve at least 75kh/s:

I keep getting "access denied" errors when using the Stratum server, I suppose it's not fully set up. With http everything works fine!
