Dear DoctorDoom,
yes, making loading the last saved config file as default would make sense, as most people usually mine on the same pools. The good thing about your miner is that you simply could stop mining, load another config and then mining on another pool setup easily. It is possible with other miners too, but a bit more complicated.

All cards use the default overdrive setting.

7660D (GPU of the A10-5800K APU, VLIW4):

7950 (GCN 1.0):

7790 (GCN 1.1):

No I was only mining on ECM and Bitparking that day, with load balancing, but strangely i wasn't getting any accepted share on one of the pools. Maybe it was realy a bad day.

I'm using Windows 7 64bit with classic theme to squeeze out a bit more out of the 7660D as the new visual effects use a bit of GPU time  Wink

For me WinMiner / Crypto Extractor has the potential to become THE WINDOWS MINER, as it's easy as Guiminer and powerfull like BFGMiner/CGMiner at the same time. Here are my suggestions that should be added to make it the ultimate miner:
- get Fancontrol for all AMD cards working (Overdrive isn't that important to me as I don't want to burn out my cards quickly, but I can see that lots of people will want it)
- add Scrypt (Litecoin and 99% of all other coins), Scrypt-Jane (YACoin & YBCoin) and Keccak512 (Copper Lark) mining, so that you can switch mining on the fly. Now you need different miners for those and one miner for all would make it a lot easier. Also Primecoin should be added when there is a working  OpenCL miner
- add support for common ASICs (BFL, ASICMiner USB Block Erruptor)
- add support for common FPGAs (ZTEX)
- add more pre defined pools to the list (harvestcoin or D7 PPCoin pool just came to my mind)

Here is some feedback after some testing. When I downloaded the zip version a week ago win miner was working nicely except that fan control and monitoring of my cards didn't work (Radeon HD 7790, HD 7950 & HD 7660D). I had to edit the eclipse pools, as the stratum versions weren't provided (also the eu and pacrim server are also missing btw). After mining for some hours I stopped using Win Miner and went on mining PPCoin with BFGminer.
Yesterday I just wanted to give it another try but the first surprise was when I started it, it didn't automaticaly load the last configuration. So I had to open the config file manualy. Next surprise was that only GPU2 was configured, all other GPUs where unconfigured. So I thought that reconfiguring wouldn't take long, but the next surprise was that the pool list only contained bitpaking stratum and the edited us1.eclipsemc stratum that I was both using. All other pools where deleted. After I got it finaly working again, the next surprise was it was hashing like it should, but it looks like it wasn't communicating with the pools correctly:

Was it just a bad luck day for me, or had someone else experienced the same yet?

Also, it would be a big help if people answer the questions below. Feedback is so useful.

  • What device should I support next? Should it be an Icarus, BFL, Avalon, NVIDIA, or other FPGA or ASIC?
  • What feature(s) should be next? Right now it would be to connect Dominatrix Engines together and remote access. But feedback will determine the next feature set, for the next release.
  • If you don’t plan on using WinMiner, can you tell me the reason why? Like, you like your current miner or you cannot use a Windows only miner. Or you don’t trust software from this site. Or you need a miner that supports other devices and/or crypto –coins.

I think You will have problem obtaining user criticall mass for testing with this moment winminer capabilities. Right now scrypt mining is 70% more profitable for GPU than bitcoin mining. So Your first step should be adding scrypt mining. Second step should be adding ASIC devices support but with migration to linux, I believe that mostly of ASIC hardware owners are using energy efficient, linux powered boxes (raspbery pi or WiFi routers) for mining .
What I would like to have in the future from mining software is possibility of making selection of pools and crypto-coins I would like to mine and software would mine the most profitable coin at the moment.
Keep the faith and good work in the future too.

Just a little problem:

contains the link to the msi file, not the zip file
