Hi, don't forget the altcoins, theres still lots of boats to catch!

New altcoins are coming out here and there, some are a hit, some not so much.  I jumped in to Primecoin and more recently DOGE and it's been profitable.  Gotta just roll the dice and hope it pays!

How you know it is profitable when DOGE is not listed at exchanges ?

Hi and welcome to the forum. How did you find out about bitcoin?

I'm in the mortgage industry, so deal with financial planners, CPAs, etc. Started hearing about BTC last year some time from clients, but always came across as a get rich quick scheme, and combine that with the fact that I couldn't rap my head around what exactly BTC were, I just brushed it off.  Finally got around to doing some due diligence research a week or so ago, and made the plunge this morning.

Hey everyone! Just signed up on the forum.  Been reading up on BTC for awhile now, still kicking myself for not jumping in after first hearing about it.  Oh well.  Bought my first BTCs through CoinBase today (pending currently).

Going to do some reading up on offline wallets, etc.  Looks like CoinBase offers a paper wallet feature.  Probably go that route, even though the Private Key is generated by CoinBase.  Easier than Armory, but less safe.  We'll see.

Thanks for having me. Hope I can learn a few things.
