Sorry but with such new hardware wallets that comes to the market, I'd prefer to go with the older ones, trezor or ledger.

Sorry if I don't even wanted to watch the video.

maybe care before buy this, ledger and trezor are old, and you can use it, it's serious, i don't see any advantage of this new hardware wallet, it's risky. It's my opinion, you can still try to get one but care Smiley

I agree with you. New hardware wallet it's very risky. Old hardware wallet ledger and trezor I personally endorse hardware wallet as it offers great security as well as you can even use it for your day to day transactions. Hardware wallet promise enhanced security against software wallet in the case of theft or scams. Moreover, your coins are safe even if your computer is hacked or someone stole your hardware wallet. If you lose your hardware wallet, you can always restore all your coins on a new wallet.
I agree that ledger and trezor is a great choice, but it is also good to consider new one since they offer feature old wallet does not offer. We can choose any wallet considering how it is acknowledge and known by the community. There were sites like Bitcoin.org that endorse wallet to use and even new wallet could be listed to it as long as it has what it take to be a secure wallet, one example is the Hodler which is to be listed in the well known site.

Maybe is not so safer, so if possible should buy ledger or trezor as this hardware wallets are already used by a lot of people and they not have any security leach and not have been reported by any user that the coins was stolen or seed hacked.

After looking around on their website(idcent.io), it looks like it isn't open-source.
If not open source, its a probably a no for many. I'm also looking at a new hardware wallet called HODLER, and I think they have better feature. Will also Try o read reviews about this to see how far will this go.

Wow, cool thing. Want to buy one.

Their wallet website has a pop up to a link where funding is in progress but language is all in Korean.
From google translation, it looks like they will ship the product in early October.
This is a good sign that they are actually manufacturing the product compared to other companies who claim to be working on a product like Giza wallet lol.
Hope someone will write up some review on this product soon.

The new hardware wallet Looks nice but we need to be more careful with the wallet. Other hardware wallets have earned reputation and it would take quite sometime for this to earn the trust of people

It looks like an ipod and I think you should wait for quite some time until they have a decent reputation as security is a very important thing in crypto. I will just stick to my nano ledger now because I bought it a long time ago and so far I have no problem with it. It's always good that there's new hardware wallet to create competition between them.

My comment to the new hardware wallet you found is to wait for a couple of years of it until it builds reputation. Who knows? The person or team behind it is saving the private keys and may steal millions later on once many are using it. Better stick with the common hardware wallets for now. I am even using MEW and I am quite satisfied as I am the only one who knows its private key.

is there any real reason to use hardware wallet?

Because I feel and know it is safest that way.

New things have always a risky point, you should not trust a newly launched wallet cause there may have security uncertainty,so my suggestion will be let the wallet get old then know the reviews then decide which is best for wallet!!

Using not trusted hardware wallet is like risking your cryptocurrency. It is better to use a well known hardware wallet than use a new one that is not yet been tested by many. Not unless you can afford to lose the coins that you want to keep in your new hardware wallet.

According to my opinion, you should research about that more before using it to make sure if its safe for your cryptocurrencies, than you can use the wallet. For this that There are many wallet in the crypto world.  Wink

Until now I have not used a hardware wallet, I think this hardware wallet is not needed for me personally, maybe using a smartphone that I use I can also check balances, send and receive BTC, ETH, LTC and other coins when traveling, But I think Trezor is very good for hardware wallets in terms of security and other features, but for now I still don't need it.

Ah yes, trust is a serious issue and everyone should be careful where they choose to secure their hard earned money(coins).
I've been doing some background research on the maker of this device (IoTrust). They are based in the silicon valley of South Korea and the members are apparently very famous in the country as leading security experts trusted by Telecommunication giants and Financial institutions.
I am also in the IT industry and know by first hand how difficult it is to earn trust especially from Telcos and Financial institutions to do business with them. For me, this is a big confidence gainer in their product, a "security product made by security experts".

It's good to see that there's always a new product that tries to compete with the existing one (ledger and trezor). And the HW have interesting features like its fingerprint for security purpose which is a better one. But the only thing is, it has a battery so it will be shut down once lowbat dunno if it's removable or not but its not a big deal tho. And the thing is its not open source.

And one thing is that the site looks not made properly there are some pages that are lacking of contents, like when you want to go to some other pages then you will redirect to order page and with this features lol

In their specifications, the battery is at 600mA, considering how often you would need to keep the device powered on for trading (maybe 10 trades a day?) it probably would last pretty long until depletion. I also noticed there is usb port on the bottom side of the device, so it would support dual interface (USB or Bluetooth) and used for charging.

I think it should be pointed out that this is a relatively new product and that comes from South Korea - it only work with their mobile apps and price is "only" 160$. Much better choice is Ledger Nano S or Trezor, they are trusted and supported many coins - and price of one Ledger is much more favorable then Dcent.

Also if they send only from South Korea additional extra charges may apply, shipping+tax = it may cost you over 200$.

I think hardware wallet unnecessary  Grin
If you know how to properly and securely make yourself a paper wallet while taking lots of extra safety precautions to ensure security, then sure. But note that not everyone is tech-savvy enough to do so.

I don't know about their hardware but looks like they also have their own software wallet application that support multiple cryptocurrencies from a single wallet application, which i think is very convenient. I mean having to manage multiple wallets applications for bitcoin, ethereum, ripple, ... etc. to me were very inconvenient and taking up memory space on my mobile phone which i don't have much of.  Wink

I've used trezor and ledger before and they were difficult to use at beginning. I got used to using them so it's not so much of a problem anymore but one thing that bothers me is that they are bound to PC environment, otherwise, have to use 3rd party applications to sync on mobile.
What do you think?

After looking around on their website(idcent.io), it looks like it isn't open-source. This will probably have trouble going to have users to trust them because of that. I'm sticking with my Ledger Nano S.

Looks decent design-wise though. Looks like the 1st-gen iPod Nano lol.
