I wonder what apps contain that malware because if that is malware, the creator will not tell the right name of the apps. He should use another app that looks like a real app to download the app containing the malware.

I only see one infected app called Protection Guard but Google PlayStore removed it. If the malware infects other apps lists, that could help thousands of users from installing the app and avoid the malware.

Vultur is installed on Android phones by a "dropper" called Brunhilda, which is present in several fitness, phone-security and authentication apps, some of which have been found in the Google Play store.

Always check the reviews before downloading any application on Google Play Store, it has become the hub of scammers and Google let them.

thanks for the link mate , actually someone has shared this in social media but i ignored because i am not usually clicking any links shared from people i don't know.

now i can review and make aware from how this works and how i can prevent from becoming victim.
If you are not good at checking applications that you are downloading on your cellphone it's better not to put wallets on your cellphone, it's risky it's better to use a hard wallet or desktop wallet and use good malware fighters, now that there are wallet for android, security on your phone should be your main concern.
best to use different cellphone from any downloads and separate the phone for wallets and personal use.

What if the reviews are bought, how will you know? I have read do many stories of people paying for project and app reviews online. It is difficult knowing those that are genuine reviews and ones that are paid for. Also, why does google allow scammers on its playstore without kicking them out. Can it be that google also has a hand in that?

This sounds terrible, luckily for me I don’t keep significant funds anywhere that my phone can access but it’s still horrible to read these kind of stories. Just be careful what sites you visit & what apps you download.

It's hard to trust all the apps in google playstore right now there are so many fake apps just like the ronin app a wallet used by axie players/investors the creator of the wallet stated that they doesn't have any app yet so the app in playstore is fake.
And now we have this kind of malware spreading it is hard to trust any app right now,
And always pay attention to their ratings, reviews and the number of people installed their app.

There are fake ratings don't just trust or believe what you're reading in the reviews, before you download be sure the links come from the right source or from the official home page of the application that you want to use, especially when it comes to Cryptocurrency wallet, always check the validity of the link.

That's a truly dangerous malware that you've shared.

I'm not that type of person that downloads most of the time so this virus is only possible to get if you're that type of person and likes to download from unknown sources.

Checking the reviews might help but its not possible to keep track of them because some apps created legit then turns into malware after the updates so avoid installing unknown apps and google play protect gives extra security but its our sole responsibility to avoid using our smartphones to save our sensitive data.

A new malware called Vultur can record cell phone screens to steal data from Android users. The threat can transmit all of the victim's smartphone activities to cybercriminals and expose passwords recorded on the virtual keyboard, such as access data to banking applications, information about web pages and services that may store sensitive data. The banking Trojan quickly spread and infected between 5,000 and 8,000 smartphones, according to a report by security company Threat Fabric. Seeking quick profit, the scammers are also targeting attacks on cryptocurrency digital wallets, instant payment services, social networks and messengers such as WhatsApp, TikTok, Facebook and Messenger.

Thanks for the update mate , this is why i don't usually install apps as long as not badly needed and not clicking any links shared because of my awareness from Malwares that may victimized me and my accounts.
