I happen to have my GTX 1080 on a single-card rig right now - paired with a Semperon 3000+ (I think, might be a 2800+) on an old Socket 754 motherboard.

It's a bit slow getting started, but the hashrate is fine once the miner is fully running.

Actual income will vary, but $4 USD sounds like a good estimate right now on Nicehash for a single 1080.

Checking https://bitcoinwisdom.com/bitcoin/calculator , none of thenm can make profits?

What is the best way for Litecoin mining?

IF you pay 10 cents/Kwu, none of these old miners can make a profit, that's right... IF you pay less than 10 cents/Kwu, things CAN change (altough, no profit can be made with any asic if you pay more than 7-8 cents/KWu IMHO)

Hello,

I am from Africa and have a source of free electricity.

What hardware is recommended for me? A used S7 will do? How much can S7 profit under present condition?

Also can Antminer can mine other curenncy?
The antminer the S7 can only mine coins with the sha256 algorithm.

It all depends on where your free power is. The s7's and s9/t9's are very noisy (something like a loud 1500w hair dryer on full blast all the time) and produce a lot of heat (about the same as 1500w space heater). Decide if you can tolerate that in the location where you have free power. Just use a mining calculator https://bitcoinwisdom.com/bitcoin/calculator and plug in your variables to figure out how long it will take you to achieve ROI.

Thank you your replys.

So do you think I can go for used S7 as it is cheap?

Also which currency mining is most profitable as of now?

can you give me an idea about GPU mining rig and mine ETH/XMR? I am not a tech. How much does it cost?

The Antminers can mine ANY SHA-256 coins, and with unlimited electricity you'll make profit with any miner, so might as well get the S9 for higher hash rate.
Though I'd honestly build a GPU mining rig and mine ETH/XMR, profits would be quicker.

To answer your 3 questions:

1) be carefull, there is no such thing as free electricity... Somebody is footing the bill, it might not be you, but in the end, somebody is paying for it.
2) if you have "free" electricity, eventually most ASIC's will ROI... Unless they break first. For an S7, you can see here: http://www.coinwarz.com/calculators/bitcoin-mining-calculator/?h=4860&p=1210&pc=0&pf=1&d=559970892890.83800000&r=12.50000000&er=1891.11260000&hc=0.00 for the average income at current diff, block reward and BTC price
3) An ASIC can only be used to mine one algorithm. Bitmain makes two kinds of asics, most of them mine sha256d coins only, but they have started producing a product line to hash scrypt only...
