nicehash mining pool allows mining of all graphics cards and processors, and automatically selects the algorithm for mining. Try to start mining there.

But as you increase the memory on the graphics card if it's definitely worth the chips in a total of 2 Gb. This is not possible, use a different manner.

With the price not being too far off, a GTX 1060 could be a good upgrade as well.

So i just started mining and learning a little. I have a Nividia GTX 760. I know it isnt much, but I just want to play around for a little before I spend any serious money on mining. Ibtried to set up to use my gpu in minergate but I got a message that the memory was too low. I did some googling, and read that you can increase dedicated memory by entering BIOS and altering it to make it higher. I wasn't able to get into BIOS by using F2,F5,F8, delete etc. How would I do that? Is there any other way without buying a new GPU at the moment? And if not, what would be other alternatives for me to do a little mining until I am ready to spend on a nice big fat rig? Any help is much appreciated.

Hi,
I have that card too.
You CAN use it to mine, BUT it is a very power hungry card (mine has 8+8 pin power),and it runs very hot, very loud, and will earn about 10-100 sats a day using Nicehash Legacy.
The power it consumes completely dwarfs any possible profit.

Best guess, would be to sell it, and buy a cheap 1030GT if all you want to do is "tryout" mining first. At least that way you can mine MOST of the current algos (only 2 GB card thou), and if you decide mining isnt for you, its an ok low end gaming card.

Good luck

I think that your options are very limited.First you can try the Cryptonight algorithm with Xmr or Claymore miners or you can try to mine ethash coins which has a very low dag file size and can be mined with a 2GB card now.

Overall you won't make any money and this should serve you as an experiment for your future mining investments.

gtx 760 has 2gb vram which is very low compared to the other cards out there
for mining good profitable coins you need at least 4gb vram
dedicated memory cannot be increased via bios
so do not try it there is no way to increase it
try mining other coins which do not require 4gb vram
try cryptonight algorithm coins
