The plugs on the motherboard only go one way withhout chopping bits up or forcing beyond what is reasonable.

Populate all the motherboard power sockets with all the power plugs you have, same goes for the PSU plugs and GPU plugs.

You can't go wrong.

Yes I'm aware of that.  I've read the manual, not a blubbering idiot here.   Thanks for the info.

If you "read the manual" then why did you write:

Is there an install guide or something online (I can't find one) that will tell a newbie what needs to be plugged in where?

The installation guide tells you how to hook up everything to the motherboard. Flashman linked a video about install a PSU. Your questions have been answered, or perhaps I just don't understand what your question is.

By the way, I can google things, in fact I said as much in my first post.

I have never seen so much open hostility and negativity towards people as I have towards newbies on this forum who came to ask legitimate, sincere questions.   These replies are a perfect example!  I will not be coming back here for any information.

I recommend that you get someone that knows how to build a computer to help you. Making a mistake could be expensive.

I got an ASRock 970 Extreme 4.  I have 2 Radeon cards that I've already got installed on the PCI-E slots.  This is my first motherboard experience.  I have a Corsair RM850 PSU which I think is fine to handle those 2 cards and the motherboard.  Is there an install guide or something online (I can't find one) that will tell a newbie what needs to be plugged in where?  I installed the CPU already too with thermal paste & that's ready to go.  I just need to know what else needs to be plugged in to make it work?  My 600watt PSU has cords built-in, but this RM850 PSU has only cords that snap into the box and it's not clear to me what needs to be plugged in where on that PSU. I went to ASRock site's support stuff and even googled this and I'm at a loss.  I think maybe I'm not finding the right page and probably someone here has one? Any ideas would be much appreciated!
