This is strange.  I bought two coins.  The first one is an Adam Smith number 60/600.

It was swept 2017-02-26 02:31:26, so I lost 2 BTC on that deal.

My second coin is a Joan of Arc number 17/600.  But when I went to check on it I found that it had never been funded!  Were we supposed to fund these ourselves? Check it out:

When I bought it I assumed it was funded.  I am sure I paid more than 1 BTC for the thing.  What is the deal with that?

now these are some stunning coins!  Shocked I'm surprised no-one else offers a similar kind of strike to this coin!

Star Wars Ep. 9 is here
Beautiful coin! I really like the Jeanne D' Arc more than the Newton's mockup. Although, the premium is a bit high. The dull antique finish is rather unique, as most the physical coins out now have the shiny silver finishes. What mint made these coins?

I agree the premiums are high.  In fact the Adam Smith markup is double the Jeanne d Arc.  That's keeping me from buying the Adam Smith version.

I'm definitely interested in an Isaac Newton coin, just from the mockup I know it's gonna be good!

Cryptographic money will be the bedrock in time.
I recently received my coin, and I am blown away by it!  It is very high-relief, so it looks more like a sculpture than a flat coin.  The detail is incredible.  I definitely recommend these guys, nothing compares to these coins.

I purchased one of the Jeanne D'Arc coins.  However I'm not a fan of the antiquing.

They are "antiqued" which is a style that was chosen by the artist. That is why they have the darkening. It emphasizes the relief work.

Looks very nice. Are silver coins always this expensive (~ $300, where the actual silver is worth ~ $40)? Do we have any guarantees that they didn't save the private key somewhere?
These are not expensive coins when you consider...
They are very small editions...only 600 coins minted.
They have high artistic value... there's nothing else out there that comes close to these.

I didn't like the look of the Adam Smith coin, but the Jeanne D'Arc and Isaac Newton coins look nice.

I'm curious about the black edge effect on the JDA coin. Is that just lighting or do they apply some kind of treatment to the silver?

It looks like the coins have been antiqued to emphasize the relief of the coin, which I think looks nice.  I have one of the Adam Smith ones, and I'll be picking up one of these soon.  No doubt these are the best looking physical bitcoins made to date.

Has anyone broken open the case to verify the private key on their coin?

The premium is quite high for silver coins and they are not encrypted keys or multi-signature keys. How long have these been for sale?
I have five of the Adam Smith coins.  There look very secure to me.  The private key is engraved on the edge, and cannot be viewed without breaking the case open.  I'm looking forward to getting some Joan of Arc coins.  These are by far the finest physical bitcoins available, in my opinion.

Star Wars Ep. 9 is here
They're 2 ounces of silver and thus are quite heavy and substantial.  They also come with their own unique sealed holder.  I saw them at the Inside Bitcoin convention in NYC recently.  The added premium is less now that the coin comes in a 1 BTC denomination.

Alitin Mint https://www.alitinmint.com just released their Joan of Arc coin for sale. They have also released an early image of the next coin in the series--Isaac Newton.

I love these coins ;^}
