I think this was all a farce cause nobody has it even a minute preview has been produced by these so called hackers.
They seem to have just do it to see if the studios would pay out the ransom.
But they called their bluff it seems. Embarrassed
In all these indignations there really is a TV and the fact is that when the company shoots a film It calculates its costs to return And because of profit there is no other way to shoot and produce something. Of course, if the pirated copy is at odds with the multimillion-dollar circulation, this is really a loss for them. Well, how to find out what losses the company is taking because of pirates.
The thing is... there is not leak!

They were just blackmailing them and not even having any thing of the film.

It was all just a trick to see if they were going to pay for it.

The same group even says they have the second Cars movie and asking for the ransom to be paid in the same way.
That film is going to be at the end of this week so their requests of the disney corporation is being heard on deaf ears too. Roll Eyes

I hope they release it. Hollywood makes enough off these films.

I actually think this is awesome. I saw my old folks watching one of their conservative TV channels last night, they usually mostly talk about serious real world stuff there and the discussions and participants are like taken out of some closet where they've been locked since the 60s. So there they are all 60+ guys in the studio and the topic of discussion was crypto currencies and cyber security. Now I finally don't have to explain to my parents what BTC is every time they ask me where all my money goes.

These are the first steps towards our crypto money becoming mainstream currency.

We get bad press lately . In our image need to be corrected . Well here in the event it happens .

This type of thing is ongoing..

I seen this headline on my Homepage RSS feed (for TorrentFreak) recently and others.
6 guys are busted doing it in India because of the water marks on the content.
Then before that we had the Netflix Orange is the new black drama..

Not cool but fuck the studios etc.
They are not supporting me so i am not supporting them.

I support file sharing not rich assholes trying to arrest me for my P2P activity.

BITCOIN IN PERIL ONCE MORE!

I can't agree that BTC is in peril. Sure some people might say "Oh that's criminal money", but others who haven't heard before might be interested and join the crypto world.

Also even if it gets leaked the film will still probably make a good profit. If Expendables 3 could do it, Pirates of the Caribbean can do it easily. People just like going to the cinemas with friends.

I don't think they will pay. I think most people would still go to the cinema to watch, for the entire experience.

I doubt they will pay. Why pay? Its going to get pirated anyways. If these guys were real pirates they would have released it already.

"but said Disney had refused to pay and was working with federal investigators."

Also "the extortionists threatened to release five minutes of the film and then 20-minute chunks unless a sizeable ransom was paid"
It should make for an interesting announcement from trumps administration in the next coming days of  said hacking tools from the group who are using those very same tactics in extorting from disney now. Roll Eyes
