I don´t get it. You want to convince other people not using BTC that the idea is good so the ones that already believe in them raise the price???

I seriously doubt a few spammers on these boards had anything to do with pricing...

Agreed. Doesn't really make sense.

The new restrictions have nothing to do with the price fluctuation at all. On the other hand it's a good initiative in the way of at least slowing down the stupid "the sky is falling" posts which were beginning to spread all over the forum.
The price correction took a few heads off, but these are just the risks of the trade.

Don't get overexcited, probably it's a bull trap.
Bitcoin is still hugely overpriced if you compare it with the amount of real goods you can buy with it.
Economy based solely on miners and speculators won't go anywhere far.

that's a really good point and i agree for most other goods or currencies. but i think with btcs it's a little different as its' popularity peak is by far not yet reached. so even more peaople will come and buy to equip themselves with some bitcoins. just for fun or with professional intention makes no big difference. an the fact that up to now there are not many real goods you buy with them is not that important, as most buyers currently are not buying for that purpose. the current main reasons for buying are more idealistic ones.

it's all a matter of the right concept and proper propaganda to show the outside that we are having the same idealistic visions ...  Wink  Grin

Believe it or not some Bitcoin traders have the ability to think for themselves and ignore what some forum troll has to say. Besides, most traders probably don't follow these forums at all, and I bet a significant portion aren't even aware they exist.

what do you mean?! with this new policy, prospective bitcoiners come in and say "wow, this is mighty professional, they even have a daycare i can drop myself off in while the grown-ups go in the other room and talk about the grown-up things. All kinds of new technologies coming from this corner of the cyber world!"

As more people join and start using bitcoins, the demand will increase. Thats why its important to spread the word.

All we have to do now is find a way to totally eliminate new people from voicing their opinions/concerns/questions and we'll be right back up to 30!

but no, seriously we need to get ourselves a RALLY post so we can get ready for the big leagues when we say things like '20!' and make it scrool across the screen in enormous fancy green letters.
