How does a 10 year warranty work? The fan will break after 3 years of mining and the video card is not designed for 10 years of mining. In my opinion, there are important nuances here that you need to know about in advance. I have a 10-year warranty on the Corsair power supply, but there are no problems for 4 years.
I asked the RMA department and they said the card is covered for 10 years. Many manufacturers do not supply the fans separate and don't want you to replace them yourselves.  The card has to be disassembled to replace the fan. Sure most of us can do that no problem. But if you have a warranty might as well use it. They basically send you a replacement card and once you receive it send back the damaged card with fan included. Only thing is with a RMA like this you have to leave a deposit, in some cases double the amount of the card. They did that because of scarcity of cards. Some people lied about damaged cards and once they received the replacement card just held on to it and parting with the deposit. By requesting a double deposit they are assured people won't play those tricks. So for a 3090 that means a deposit of around $4,000 for a RMA!

I would imagine as the supply chain issue is resolved this double deposit amount would go away.
In my country they also give a replacement, but we have different rules. First, you send the faulty video card to the seller and he makes an examination and informs you about the warranty repair confirmation or returns the video card back.Next, you need to apply for a replacement video card for the repair time. But the service center can give you used 1080 for example Smiley instead of RTX 3070
That does not sound like a good deal. I've heard instances where they upgraded the RMA'd card to a better model due to availability issues. But never downgrading. I would not be happy with that arrangement.

We can also choose to go with your procedure. You mail the faulty card to them, and after they have received and reviewed the card they mail out the replacement if it is a valid RMA. But I prefer to opt to leave a deposit and then have them send me the replacement card. Once received I mail back the faulty card. After they have received the faulty card and it is a valid RMA they credit back the deposit I left. I've done it a few times like that and so far it has worked great!
We have different warranty laws. Service centers do not always stock enough replacement graphics cards, so you can get an older graphics card. If there was insurance at the time of purchase, then other options are possible, but a big plus is that after 45 days the seller must return a working video card or money to me.

Between shipping costs and downtime, not to mention potential headaches and dealing with RMA departments...  I've found it's easier to just order cheap fans and do the replacement yourself.  It might cost you a couple dollars extra (or not depending on shipping costs) but you'll be up and running with almost no downtime and you'll learn a little bit about your graphics card.  Not trying to let the RMA centers down or anything, but I hate dealing with them.  I'd much rather repair it on my own quickly and easily.  Fans are pretty easy to swap.
If you do a cross ship RMA there would be almost no down time, especially if it is a faulty fan. I kept mining with only 2 fans on the 3090. Once I received the replacement card i shut down the faulty one and replaced it. Downtime was the time it took to replace the two cards, maybe 5-10 minutes tops. If the faulty 3090 ran with very high temps I would not have done that. However with only 2 fans working the temperatures were around 54-55c max since it was in an open air rig.

Maybe it was a good trade-off to him since the price to replace a GPU fan is very cheap compared to VRAM. You can replace the GPU fan yourself, the high availability of GPU fans in the after-market. While you can only RMA the card when VRAM breaks or 3rd party GPU repair shop if the warranty expired. So the VRAM is under high priority even at the expense of the GPU fan, I think.

I understand the reasons and could not disagree, but at least here in my experience and situation:

I have rigs in my room, so 100% fans is not an option, is extremely annoying and impossible to sleep or concentrate  Cheesy
I think the balance between fans 80% and temperature is good enough to not have to put 100%

Another thing you said:
Quote
...While you can only RMA the card when VRAM breaks...

Here in my country, a defective / broken fan is a valid reason to RMA and the store / techs will accept

But again, I understand the reason and if you'll want to have this card for a long period of time and have access to replacement fans, and have the rigs in another room, 100% fans can be good.

Wow, you have an awesome rig, with high density and only 5 GPUs with 562 Mhs
The memory temps are also awesome, but the only thing I would adjust in your rig is to decrease the fans speed
Maybe 80% will be enough to keep memories under 94º and this 20%less on rotation can help your fans lifespan
But you did a good job

And I noticed in the second picture you reduced the core clock on 3090 and "lost" some hashes, but the power draw decreased too
Agreed on fan speeds. I ran a 3090 at 100% fan speed for almost 1 year and one of the fans literally fell off. Card was still running good even with only 2 fans but I had to RMA the card to get the fan issue fixed.

A second 3090 was set with fan speeds of 75-80% and has not had issues. So I think 100% fan speed can cause the fans to fail faster.

I bought a 10 year warranty with the card. So I prefer to follow the RMA route. The reason I ran the fan speed at 100% was because the GPU was in a nice glass cube case. Looks great but not ideal for cooling. After the fan fell off I moved the GPU to an open air rig and the temperatures were around 54C even at 120mh/s and only two fans running at around 75%. After I received the RMA I left the 3090 in the open air rig and moved a 1080TI to the glass cube case. If I ever move a 3090 or 4090 into the glass cube case I will go with a radiator version. The cube case has 128 GB RAM so I plan on using it for more than just crypto mining. And  I know the 4090 is not out yet, however when it does come out I will probably pick up two. Sounds like the 4090 will be a monster. Hopefully the 1000W power supplies I have in the glass cube and my main computer will be enough. They have a few hard drives and high powered CPUs so it might be close. Apparently the 4090 might max out 600w! I have a 1400W PSU that I can move into my main computer if needed.

If I were building the same mining farm, then I would put the coldest 3070 Ti video card last, and put the hottest video cards first. This will work if you use an open case and ventilation. But I would not build such a mining farm, very hot. I wish you good profit.

show us a 2 hour photo.

lets see how close you stay to your 13 minute numbers.

after a 2 hour shot

show a 24 hour shot.

Sometimes you get temp creep over time.

if you stay close at 2 hour time and then at 24 hour time you have a winning setup.

there we go:
https://ibb.co/CmRm5wy

after over 24+ hours and current room temp is 27c (not so good i admit)

thanks for following up

Hi guys just finalized building a new Rig with 5x

3090
3080 Ti
3070 Ti
3080 Ti
3090

and OC'd to get the following results:
http://grabilla.com/0c709-8a8c3e6d-24f1-4d61-9cfa-f46c9b187a51.html

how we're looking ??... any room for improvements ?...

thanks,

You are looking pretty great considering your stats at your core temperatures and memory temperatures which I would say they are ideal,as they running very cool in the core temperature and also the memory temperature is far from that 100 degree Celsius in which it will start to cause your cards to throttle.I don't see any room for improvement because I have rarely seen so far in the forum such amazing temperatures,I mean memory temperatures for the power hungry gddr6x cards like the ones you own.I think that over 550 Mhsh is a really nice rig.You are doing everything right as keeping fans 100% to reach these temperatures is better in the long run,you can always replace fans but you cannot replace a card which can go non working because of memory temperature issues.

thanks for confirming things look ok, tbh i think EVGAs are the best !...
