You want to sacrifice some fees "if all transfers are zero" in exchange for the transfers being centralized? The site receives your coins and updates the database inside the site and then allows you to withdraw those currencies.
There is no new technology here, but you need to trust this site and you also need some fees to withdraw/deposit these currencies.
If the site is completely free, from where they earn? They are not showing ads, right?

but we used the zPay feature and my friend sent me Bitcoin. I sent it right back to him via email. Took seconds to send and had zero fees.

The platform in Beta obviously says it's new so don't expect a positive answer. The volume is also too low which tells us that nobody really uses it. I also can't say for sure if you are genuinely asking for a review of the exchange or simply advertising it. You said you already used one of its feature but still unsure whether it is legit or not?
