Our Golle algo relies on distributed randomness.

Does anybody know Golle algorithm for gambling? It is a solution of Mental Poker problem.

Never heard about Golle algorithm for gambling and I wonder how it looks like.
But if that algorithm is for a poker game, then I guess I will skip that because I don't know how to play poker with right Grin
But there is no guarantee to see any strategy will works in many gambling games unless the luck factor helps us because the luck will take a big part in the gambling.
If you can win the poker game using one strategy, then I am sure that at that moment, you have luck so you can be a winner.

This looks self promotion but nonetheless new algorithms if they are good for the industry or pave the way for new technologies to emerge soon after them I think they should be supported. From an IT perspective it needs more opinions before we jump to a conclusion if this is a winning technology or not.
It can be self-promotion but if the creator believes his algorithm is actually unique and can solve the existing probability fair challenges, then why doesn't he patent it or release it as open source? That will be the right promotion of the algorithm except asking to play on a particular website because they use it.

Like many here, I really think this is a promotional move and I never had any idea about this D2W bet, But even though there is fairness in it, I never think that we really need another gambling site like this, I really think that there are too many gambling sites that are providing us with good and fair services that are equally fair with their house edge and transaction, There are too many gambling sites that are making many positive reviews right now and many people are trusting it, This new solution maybe fair but people will surely go with enough years of services and not a new one that has no given possibilities that it will be ok to make bet on it yet.

Interesting. Good to see more such algorithms being designed to promote fairness in the crypto gambling ecosystem though a lot of practical testing needs to be done to verify its reliability over time.

The current provably fair system is great as it is though in my opinion.

Provably fair is widely used and trusted by most gamblers and even online casino operators, and it seems not all is familiar with that algorithm which makes it not interesting at the moment.

KYC for a gambling site in not attractive for players. I doubt if you will attract players with this since it seems you are here to promote OP.

Not really familiar with Golle algo but I hope you will do a better job in promoting your site. Also, you are asking for the kyc stuff such as name, age, residence, I don't think you will attract small-time gamblers here.

Asking for a KYC as a new gambling site can't be a good one since many trusted gambling sites that don't ask for any KYC. This is new but not a good solution to a fair gambling, because gambling will never become fair and it will always in favor to the house. I'm just playing to have some fun and earn small profit, but if you will ask for my details then I would probably stay on my current gambling site, the new gambling site must study the KYC program whether to implement it or not.

I just visited the site to look at it and the only game that could be played right now is the game called Sic Bo and I don't really know that game .
Then we need to provide you with our email and phone number?
I don't think that people would be willing to do it for a new gambling site.
I mean we already are enjoying the old system and we trust it so if we want to give your new system a shot let us all enjoy it without sending this private information.

Seems like a self promotion. No independent source mentioned and the so called algorithm is only used for the site d2w bet. I don't mean to raise a suspicion about it's fairness but it would be wise to stick with traditional way of proving fairness until we find an independent study about the claims of golle algorithm.
Well, it's an article on medium so anybody is free to question it. The author has done a good job of explaining it in a detail but I'm no cryptographer or probability expert to find the challenges in the said algorithm. I don't know who invented it but if it does what its supposed to do then why doesn't the creator patent it?

So recently I saw this new casino https://d2w.bet/info/provably and saw it used a different approach to having random games. Using something called a golle algorithm which I read up on here https://medium.com/d2w-bet/blockdraws-golle-algorithm-a-distributed-p2p-cryptographic-algorithm-for-generating-provably-a282581f787f. What do you guys think of casinos using this new approach to verifying bets etc?

It could actually be just a promotion of his website but it looks like this provably fair algorithm is kind of new on the market and that could explain why only this website uses it and also why he posted the link here. I've heard some things in the article and they pretend to have created some new algorithms for chance games for provably fairness and provably randomness. I don't know what to say about this since this is still new in the gambling industry but I would stay away from it until will get more info and understanding about how it works and how fair it actually is.

Do the crypto gambling site needs new solution for provably fair system? I dont think so as the current provably fair system used by most bitcoin/crypto gambling sites works perfectly without any significant issues. So why we need to see a new provably fair system while the current is great already?
As what some others said already, I think it is just a promotion of the gmabling site (D2W).

Well it is new gambling games service and i never play it before, so i will not make speculations in there without any review from other users, in my own personal opinions new solutions for probably fair on gambling games website is we can use decentralize application dapps on the gambling games service it is good innovations in gambling games industry. Decentralize application of gambling games will gives fairness in the gambling games especially for the community of cryptocurrencies than another, we know about the decentralize and transparant in cryptocurrencies.
