Now It works. Slowly Sad
I get 12Mhash/s.
I own Quadro FX1800. And the pc becomes slow. Suggestions to be able to browse, at least?

Hrmm running off your GPU shouldn't affect your CPU performance for browsing at least from my understanding.

Perhaps instead of using the GUI miner use some of the other scripts like poclbm.

I downloaded the cuda toolkit drivers then I installed them.
I created a new cuda profile but GUIMiner reports Starting... and no connection activity (I looked it with wireshark tool).

I connected to the pool service and it reports me 0.00 MH/s for all Worker Names.

Go to the Site of the Mining Pool where you are registered, and check if they show up a Hashrate.

If its 0, indeed, nothing happens, if not , everything is working fine.
It shows a Hashrate at GUIMINER too. Or better, it should.
You dont see anything of the Actual working, except the hashrate.

I registered to the Pool service. I created a new worker with its password.
I create a new cuda miner as I own a NVIDIA card.
I put the new worker and its password on username and Password fields.
I selected 0 and 1 cpu affinity boxes.
Then I clicked on Start mining! button. No extra flags set.
The CPUs begin to works because I see them on Task manager but...nothing happens.

Hey, and Welcome to Bitcoin.

Did you used the right Parameters at Guiminer to Connect to the Pool ?
If yes, try to turn off Kasp, maybe it blocks the Connection.

Hi,
I'm new to BitCoin. I would like to write a newspaper article about it but I did not manage to create bitcoin.
I downloaded Bitcoin official client and it works. It has 8 connection and around 100,000 blocks.
Then I would like to try to generate bitcoin using my Quadro FX 1800 graphical card.
I got GUIMINER and I setup an account on a BTC Guild and a solo account (I already launched Bitcoin client).
None of them works.
Kaspersky antivirus said to me that the program contains malicious code PDM.Rootshell but I downloaded Guiminer from sourceforge address that has been suggested by this forum.
The status is always connecting and console last output is listener for "MYsolo" started.

I'm in a nat (no public IP address)

What is happened? Suggestions to fix it?
