My favourite colour is blue ^^ ...and I am also wanting to be a full bitcoin member, hehe

I can do better than that too...I'm also rather new to bitcoins, my brother got me interested in them. I'm not mining at all as I don't have the hardware but have gotten a little bit from random faucets. My earnings is still super low though and won't be valuable until perhaps one day the bitcoin becomes much more valuable.

People tell me it will get much much more valuable, and so I am also thinking about actually spending real money and buying some.

I wouldn't count on bitcoin becoming more valuable anytime soon. Your best bet would be to find a strong alt coin to mine and hold.

Which alt coins would you recommend? Would I have to get a mining machine or are there alt coins I can mine with simple hardware.

I am also new. I am posting here to lift the new account restrictions. My favourite colour is pink.

I can do better than that. Let's see; I have three 7950s, getting ~1960 kH/s, mining Litecoin or Feathercoin (depending on profitability) and trading them for Bitcoin whenever prices are favourable. I'm in the $5/day ballpark. My rig is one of those ugly milk crate types. I did buy some aluminum to build a nicer case and I will put that together…eventually. I'm eager to (l)earn more and open to any wisdom you may wish to share. Thanks, y'all!

New to Bitcoins and just started mining

Hello\1

I'm new here as well. Still downloading the blocks in Bitcoin-QT and figuring out what the best way to mine is for me. I use a 2012 Mac MBPr as my main computer for work and own quite a beefy Windows tower as well that is currently unemployed. I could set that one up to mine for me perhaps... I wonder if it is possible / advisable to use my main computer as miner as well.

I can use command line but I do prefer GUI. Any good tips on (dutch?) mining pools?

What hardware/hashrate are you running? Smiley
