if you have the latest generation GPU of the 3000 series it makes no sense to sell them you can very well mine some other altcoins with quite good profits
It doesn't have to be the latest 3000 series, if you have any efficient graphic card its better to keep them and mine other coins when ETH merge is completed, things will only look tough or bad for a short time, after a coin will take the lead.

If your ROI is still far away, I mean if you built your mining rig in two months ago its better to sell because that's what many miners are already doing, your GPU days are outnumbered, very soon cheap GPUs will flood the market but if you have already make back your ROI you can take the risk of holding on, The merge might get postponed who knows?.

If you have the following card its entirely stupid to sell them

1. Gtx1660 supers and Ti
2. Rx6600xt - 6800xt
3. RTX2060super - 3060Ti/3070s
4. A2000-A5000

If you do have rx480 and 580 pls sell and get more efficient graphic cards, avoid staking.

I will add 1 more link for you to make it more fun to think
https://www.reddit.com/r/ethereum/comments/tvsdxp/miners_post_merge/
As a miner, I would prefer to keep the graphics cards and continue mining, but I will sell old and inefficient graphics cards.

Staking your coins sucks compare to mining even if there is a bear market or not, if you want to mine be ready to face a bear market that can last for a year and a half, your mindset must be on the quantities of coins you mined and hold, they will look ugly in USD worth.

Which do you think is better? Sell all GPUs to start staking ETH for annual return or keep GPU and keep mining other coins?.

No one will be able to answer that for you because no one knows what the future holds.  What has been stable is that in bull markets gpus are very profitable whether mining or selling.  So if you can last through some bear markets it might be better to mine.  Second question is space and noise tolerance.  Much quieter just owning coins instead of mining them.

This is the question we all miners are trying to find the answer  Cheesy

I'll leave some threads to you read about the future of ETH mining/POS etc, we have been discussing a lot about

https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/eth-mining-nearing-end-of-life-when-will-you-liquidate-your-rigs-5391272
https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/plans-after-eth-20-5392353
https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/future-of-eth-mining-5389770

See? There's no simple answer, we are not 100% sure about the date, which coins will take ETH hashrate, how many Asics are mining ETH...
It's a lot of variables, so think about your position, do you have a lot of GPUs?
Your electricity cost is good enough to mine with less profits?
Are you confortable to keep mining with some time with loss instead of profits?
