Start with demo accounts and a lot of caution (and small money, when you do start). I think that's the besy way of understanding the way that the "trade world" works.

In an amicable way, one must read everything that is connected with the crypto currency.
To develop understanding.
Being newbie to the world of trading is indeed a wonderful experience as once get to know lot of things which he was previously unaware of. It helps the individual to gain lot of experience as well which can help him at the later stages of his life.

However, one should take this step once he has acquired this much amount of knowledge that he consider himself this much capable of doing something good in this field.

Let's start at the beginning. You may have heard many things about what a cryptocurrency is, but you may still be searching for an understandable definition. I hear ya, I was in the same boat for a long time. Instead of getting too technical, here's the easiest way to think about cryptocurrencies:

Hello! I'm new here in the forum but not new about trading at all. I came from sports trading where i had some really good profit, but unfortunately it has been banned in my country so i found this cryptocurrency trading thing and it really caught my attention. I believe here have all the information i need to get more into touch, but there are so many topics and i would need to spend days to read them all. Can you please give me some good key topics that are a must read?
Thanks!

No need to hurry mate, you have to take your time to read and research about crypto trading, because it takes so much risk than trading outside in crypto world. Cryptocurrency has a high volatility specially bitcoin, that can be very hard for you to predict when is the best time to buy and sell of it to make a good profit. And besides of its high volatility, there are so many scammers around that you need to avoid of, to prevent to be scammed and losing more money.

there's a kind of Trading sort term and long term it's better to have longterm and to hold those who have potential altcoin for greater profit in longterm often because the need for shorterm is bigger for profit but it depends on you what you prefer if you can the more sure you prefer big profits and nothing

Unfortunately I haven't found many good threads about trading in this forum. Most of them look more like speculation and not real trading or market analysis, so I can't give you any links. I actually came from sports trading as well (at betfair, that stopped operating on my country as well, because they don't want to pay for a license), so I guess we have a similar path. I don't know if you usually traded pre-live or live. I preferred to trade live at tennis and soccer, and tried a few pre-live at horses, but I didn't enjoy this last won, because I was lacking market analysis at that time, and I was better at game analysis.

If you did the same thing as I did, I suggest you look for some real price analysis info, because they are quite valuable in my opinion for crypto trading, but keep in mind that the market is ruled by FUD news that generate panic, or really good news that generate FOMO, so I think there are a lot of similarities between sports trading (live) and crypto trading, where the news in crypto, make the market move like key events on sports (goals in soccer, or service breaks in tennis).

Nice to see someone like me in this forum! I mostly made live trading in soccer, pre-live only if i knew that certain odd is too high due to new informations that come before the game starts. So in crypto trading what makes the market moves are the news? Can you advice me some good newspapers or something where that information is posted? I really want to start studying the market patterns but i need to know where to find that info.
Thanks again for all the replies.

Since you are a newbie and have some sort of a background in trading then you can start off at the trading discussion. I doubt anyone who is a newbie in this forum are able to read every thread even if they reach the Sr. Member rank. I would read post that are beneficial to me so I would know what are the topics I need to skip.

Can you advice some good crypto trading platforms? I found the Plus500 which has a really good friendly interface showing in real time how much am i winning/loosing after entering the market. They also provide a 50k virtual € to start practising. I really liked this exchange but i made a little research about them and found that they are mostly a scam because of the fees they apply. So is there any good exchange with a similar user friendly interface?

Reading up all of those topics might be boring but would really be essential for you to learn and I'm sure with that since these are the things I have done when I do still tried to learn up new things. Just skip on those things which you do read that you found it repetitive. If you still seek out for more informations then you can search up on google for more informations or sources and even on youtube there are lots of things regarding on this stuff.

To many guides that you can read here and try to seek some good guidance and study those by yourselves so that you can learn some certain successful techniques which you can use on your daily trades. And little piece of suggestion don't just listen on some people tells on what coin will get a huge pump on this day since some of them are fuds and not true, You might became a bag holders of shitcoins if you listen on them.

Thanks a lot for your answers guys. My main way to work in sports trading was the scalping, you probably use also this term in crypto trading, and i see that you can do it here because the prices are always fluctuating. But the thing is that i in sports trading had a match to watch, and i had validated methods that made me know that certain odd was going to drop according to what i was seeing in the match. But here in crypto how do i know that certain coin price is going to rise? How can i understand the market?

Since you are not new to trading and as you said you are a scalper the  there is a lot of opportunities for you here im the crypto market as you can see in some charts there are huge swings. I think you have a solid technical analysis since you profit from scalping. I guess you just need to familiarize yourself with the coins. You may go to the altcoins section as there are thousands of coins posted there.

If you want to trade in crypto you need to take a practice trading first. however, there is no crypto exchange that offers practice trading as of the moment. You can only practice your trading skills on forex. create a demo account there and start trading. Study the basics of forex trading (support, resistance, trendline break, leverage and many more. Look at tradingview.com and search for ideas from pro traders.

Then create your own strategy. apply your strategy on your demo forex trading account. follow your strategy 100% and record the results. If you have a good return within 3 months then switch into crypto trading. goodluck

There are already many good tips, ideas and techniques as well as links shared to you so i might as well send you some good luck in your quest to be a good trader this time in cryptocurrency. Cryptocurrency is a good arena to master though it is always changing from time to time (I think this can be true also with other trading vehicles). The big difference is that here in cryptocurrency the volatility can be so high that you have to be ready not to be dizzy. Again, good luck and I am sending you here some good vibes.

First of all you need to learn at least what trading means on crypto and what are the risks i think you have the gist of it since you have experienced trading in real life. Having a crypto coin in your digital wallet can probably increase in time although it will take their time to produce a good amount of it.

Cryptocurrency trading is very risky because the fluktuasion so high, so before jump in to it make sure you have risk management and some strategy to reduce the risk. Learn more about technical and fundamental analysis so you will know when best time to buy or sell.

Well If you are not new in trading, I suggest that you read the news about the coins so that you will have the idea of what coin is good to invest at. You should read in bitcoin discussion threads and alt coins. If you want to join ICO campaigns just look for bounty campaigns for extra income. Read news like "what is the cause of the fall of the bitcoin" there are so many topics don't read them all just read what ever you think is useful for you to improve your knowledge.

For a newbie i suggest to don't rely on others opinion you must make your own moves to obtain strategy  and knowledge  .and perhaps google is the best way to find some information not just here in forum 'cause honestly there are some expert nowadays sharing their strategies around the internet so you must make a research on it , if you are lazy to read Some of the thread here in forum.

Crypto trading is no similar to the sports trading so you may need to upgrade some techniques. Before getting into trades know that this is not general trade you have to keep lot of patience here. If you have to trade crypto then you need to know it’s history, whose behind the project of specific altcoin and many external factors that may affect it. Without study there is nothing in this world of cryptoccurency. Do not fall for the spam coins, which may turn your trades into bad move. So in general you have to study a lot about it and then you can create proper trade portfolio. It’s general idea but you will get feel for it once you get in.

So, no matter if you are new to the crypto. Just watch the price behaviour and record the range of the price moving in between. It can be tracked by watching the market for 1 to 3 months. Then grab the lower point of the price and invest and rest assure. Definitely you made a good profit just in six months.

I suggest you start in small investment, do not overinvest because as we all know the market is very volatile that gains or losses has huge impact and it's either you win big or lose huge amount. Make sure to not put all your funds to single coin because coins are unstable. Treat each coins differently, meaning if you're investing in bitcoin, you may have it as long term investment because of it's value and get other coins which you can sell or hold depending on the market fluctuation. Lastly, dont get too much of your emotions when your trading because it's the usual cause of large losses. Think a million times before making a move. Goodluck!

Read anything which is good, for example there are a thread about the fork of monero. Its mean the price of it will rise because people will buy this coin to get new coin from its fork. I also suggest you to read whitepaper of new altcoin you can find it in announcement altcoin. ICO will give you bigger opportunity.
